This location is great!!! Very friendly and helpful. They don't try to talk you into products you don't need and really listen to your questions. I needed to purchase another bag of my whey cookies and cream protein powder and I was directed to the appropriate shelves. Right now I'm solely using powders made whey, with at least under 30 grams of protein per serving to get the right amount of blend to mix with my almond unsweetened coconut milk and it taste great! Do not come here. I'm writing this review as a way to train your employees better and to show respect to customers. I walked in around 10:30 am and knew what I was buying. I entered this store and right away instead of a "Hello! Good morning," I got a "What do you want?" From the Asian lady with red hair. I was caught off guard because I mean..... CUSTOMER SERVICE WAS OFF. Second rude remark was when I was already INSIDE the store and I'm picking out my protein when the employee walks up to me and says, "We're closed, we open at 11." And I stare at her in confusion because I'm already inside the store and she let me in? So? Can you sense my confusion here? So obviously I get irritated so I told her, "If you're closed, why'd you let me in?" So she keeps telling me that they're closed. So I tell her "It says GNC opens at 10 am. So that's why I came." And she keeps telling me "Well we're closed. Haha" And we go back and forth because I'm trying to understand why would let me in if you're not open? Well... she kicks me out. Her attitude was not IT. I've had one good experience here, and one terrible experience here, so ... I guess it averages out to three. The good experience is that they generally are pretty well stocked despite the fact that nobody here actually knows what they're talking about, almost ever. The bad experience is that some of the folks they have working at the counter ... seriously have priority issues. The lady last night was confused over some "Facebook deal" a student brought in, and held up the entire line of people who wanted to buy 1 or two small things for over 15 minutes while she called around to management. I would have asked that student to wait so that the rest of us could check out and move on with our lives. Even that student offered such, but still the lady was too stubborn. Who does that? I don't know what's up with this place .... I feel bad writing this, but today was my first day in here. I bought liquid IV. A new guy was working and he said he didn't know where it would be because it's his second day working. Which is fine! I found the product. Purchased it. After my shift, I come back to return it (it's waaay cheaper for a larger amount, on amazon) and there's a customer having an issue with an elderly asian lady working here over a return. I'm currently waiting in line as I type this, BUT besides the point. My experience first coming in , was that the new boy here was basically not trained. He barely knew how to ring me up. But that's okay. Now I'm here and the elderly asian lady working is freaking out and apparently has been stuck with this angry customer for like 30 min. I feel bad for the worker, BUT it just seems that this store isn't trained well. It's also really cluttered so maybe corporate should redo visual merchandising in here. It's hard to find anything. As for management, good luck. Your workers seem unhappy. This old asian lady working is about to cry because this customers is ripping her to shreds. I feel bad, BUT someone help this store ! This GNC location has HORRIBLE customer service. I find this interesting because a supplement store stays in business due to good customer service and good products; its the kind of place you have to visit every few months.. SALES STAFF: The salesmen were EXTREMELY condescending and were clearly motivated to sell only the most expensive products. I watch them really take advantage of a guy who didn't know very much about "stacking" and they took him for probably $150 worth of product he didn't need. The salesman then verbally tore me apart starting with the amount of sleep I get, down to how much I can bench press. Now, working out is a very sensitive issue; I have been lifting hard (daily) for over 18 months and eat VERY carefully. I don't need him telling me his max bench press years ago so he can compare our relative strength. PRODUCTS: I had research a product on their web site and basically had my mind made up. When I ran it past the salesman he initially said it was great and was made by a reliable manufacturer. Once he saw it was on sale he instantly turned me away to a product $60 more expensive. He called it "the bottom of the bucket". No store should sell BAD workout products. Store should sell good to amazing products. SUGGESTION: I suggest finding a MAX MUSCLE location and using them for supplements. They are honest, authentic, and NEVER push product on you. As it has been said before, this place has TERRIBLE customer service. But it's at Westfield, and that seems to be the norm. My inbox had become cluttered with emails from GNC promoting the extension of their half-off blah blah, so I did my research online about the products that I was interested in buying - my experience has taught me that GNC does not employ a knowledgable staff, with the exception of the Campbell location. Well, I get there and the two staff members are in the back talking, so I decided to make my way towards the back - I didn't want to surprise them. As I made it to the back they looked at me, and casually continued their conversation. No "Hi, how ya doin'?" NADA. I started looking at the products that I had researched, all the while these two employees continued their ever-so important conversation about how the store was closing at 9:30 instead of a different time. Five minutes after my arrival, I got a half-ass greeting from one of the employees as she walked by me to put something back on the shelf. I asked her a question comparing two products, and she immediately recommended the more expensive of the two without even explaining the difference in the two products - which was the bulk of my visit: asking comparisons of two similar products and always being pushed the more expensive one. When I got home, was half tempted to take the stuff I purchased back just because of how the employees there are; but I was in a pinch and needed supplements. If you want knowledgeable staff that doesn't try to push the more expensive products because it boosts their numbers, try the Vitamin Shoppe. I'll have to check out Max Muscle. read more

This was the very first time I wrote the bad review in yelp but I had just received a verbal abuse and an unacceptable attitude from the female worker or customer service at this store on 11/30/18 at 7:30pm. I went to the store to return the items that I ordered online due to online system issue. The store manager assisted me with the return while the female customer service staff, who refused to provide her name, was staring at me angrily. Right before I left, the female staff started speaking Chinese to me which was not my language but I could notice that her tone was angry. When I implied her to speak in English, she started raising her voice and said that the store manager was too nice to proceed this return for me. She continued that I must not return the items in the store because I made a purchase online. And he would do it for me this time only. Next time I must not return the products that I did not purchase from this store to them. After hearing her words, I was so wondered because I read the policy that was written by GNC as well as in the packing slip which stating the option for in-store returns to any GNC store within the United States. So, I showed the return policy to her asked her that if this return policy from GNC was wrong. She shook her head and continued to be angry and said that this was not about GNC policy. But it is about "YOU" (raising her voice again) must not return the items in the store that you did not make the purchase from. No other GNC stores would allow you to do that. She asked me to think if I owned a business and if someone returned the item that was not purchase from you, what would you feel". So I was very confused and I questioned her if this was the GNC return policy issue or was it a personal issue? She did not stop but kept yelling and raising her voice at me and continued to be very rude to me in front of all other customers in the shop at that time which brought everyone's attention. She tried to embarrassed me in front of others. The store manager was right there for the whole time when this happened but did not do anything about her behavior. He just kept mentioning to me quietly that I could return the items at any store no problem which was contradict to what she was yelling me about. I could not accept her verbal abuse and I was not very happy with her attitude. I was very disappointed that GNC, a famous nutritional supplements company, would have this kind of customer service who treated the customer like this. read more

Great hours at this location, I was helped by Genna and she was very helpful with picking out a popular protein and supplement stack for gaining muscle. She recommended the Lit preworkout and it's one of my favorites now. The GNC protein is really good and has a good price too. Got the Ab Cuts CLA and those have worked great for maintaining fat. read more

Did not appreciate being ignored by the Hispanic saleswoman. My mom and I, along with another customer, a man, waited for the only saleswoman in the store to address us, but for at least 12 minutes, she only paid attention to the Hispanic customers in the store, speaking to them in their language. She never acknowledged us at all. We left, while she was still entertaining the Hispanic customers. Poor customer service, hopefully management disciplines this sales person. read more

Ugh! the worst customer service ever!!!! i cant believe i even drove to this GNC believing that if it was in a ritzy mall they would treat me better! i now see the error in my ways, i walked in and this guy greeted me and that's normal for any store so i thought ok, then he shortly came over to see what i wanted but i already had wandered over to the Quicktrim products that i wanted to try out, and i mean, i dont now nothing about pills and stuff so i figured that if he worked there he could give me some good advise on wich of them to try or what were the diffreneces on one and another or wich one could best suit my needs... errr, he said he didn't know anything about that specific product!!!! UNBELIVABLE! and it had a best seller sign! i couldn't believe how a product that your claiming to be a best seller at your store and you dont know nothing about it! and i asked him all the questions and he told me the same thing actually he changed subject saying that he had another product that's so much better some shakes and stuff and i told him i was not intrested in shakes but he kept on pushing, and then this other store girl came over and i thought that she would know maybe more than the guy on the women products but she asked the guy something else and didn't even look at me or care even though the guy asked her she said " mm i dont know" and kept doing something else, total bitch!!! Went inside of GNC today with my friend.. This is the first time I've actually felt confident, and educated on what to buy that would work best for me. Thanks to Ken. He was amazing!!! Very informative, and knows his stuff. If you ever need any help while in this store look for Ken.. He will probably already be helping you, because he has great customer service skills.
