I've been here three times this past month during their OPEN HOURS and the door is always locked . There's an employee inside who deadass looks at me and doesn't even make the attempt to let me know if they're closed or what the deal is. What's the point of keeping it open? Came there solely for Quest Bar Cookies and Cream. It was released on Wednesday February 5th. I was in the area and decided to stop by despite buying other Quest products from Active Nutrition. The girl told me they are already sold out of the cases. "Goddamn" was my response. I did not intend to buy a case but damn social media exposure *Instagram* Pretty pricey per bar but much cheaper than at my gym. I bought 2 and immediately ripped into 1 when I got to the car. I tasted "cookies and cream" hence the name and I could have been fooled but it didn't taste like a protein bar at all - more like a healthy candy bar! Kudos to having Quest products on their release day. The store is small and very dark. The girl that helped me was very friendly. I had such a bad experience just now with this sale representative named Sam (pictured attached). I walked into store because I wanted to exchange an item and buy a couple other things. When I walked in he seemed to be hiding and I had no greeting. When I was face to face to him I asked politely if I could exchange for a version similar and then automatically he said they don't have it. Ok I assumed he knows the whole store but I was still here to shop for more items. So I decided to walk around and behold.. The item I wanted to exchange, they had a full stock of it! So I showed it to him with the other items I wanted to buy and he look so irritated. I shop at GNC a lot I am pro buyer and it was simple exchange. He said I couldn't do it and had to pay more. I looked at the price for the items I wanted to exchange and their was no cost difference (men's ripped vita pack - non stimulant and men's ripped regular- picture attached) He told me it was a buy 1 get 1 half off deal when I bought it. But why should that matter they even still had the deal going on. I am here to exchange it! I told him I will go back to the store where I bought it and let me just purchase the other items I wanted to get. Then he said, "No" and started yelling at me. Well here you go, I hope his managers and corporate see this. He was very rude and lack of customer service this could of been handled in a better way. The employee was standing there looking at me shop. The entire time I was there about a good 10 minutes the damn employee was just standing just watching what I was doing like if I was going to steal. Basically stereotyping my kind it was infuriating. Also she kicked me out the store because she "had to do her prayers and was going to close the shop" but on the hours of the store it's open until 7 on Saturdays. One guy works in this tiny GNC store when we stopped by a couple weekends ago. There was already a customer there so we weren't offered any help until we were heading out. It's okay though.. Because despite the lack of lighting in the store, the selection here was so minuscule that we had browsed the entire store by the time the employee noticed we were done and on our way out. I love GNC. Don't get me wrong. They provide a wide range of products. But this particular branch is very unprofessional. I went there at 10 AM to pick up something before work. The hours say it opens at 10 AM on the window and on the website but the door is closed. I would've forgiven them for being 15 minutes late because of traffic or because a Wednesday could be considered a slow day. But the owner was far later than that. He strolled in at 10:45 as me and another customer, an older man maybe 60 years old, waited outside. Unapologetic and seemingly lazy, he just went in and stood behind the counter. Came in on Monday (8/31) to buy some multi-vitamins & look into a testosterone booster product. After doing some research online, I saw that the product was available at GNC stores, & this store is closest to my home. I used to shop here all the time but only sporadically the past 8 years or so when this store became franchise owned. I come in & I'm greeted by an Indian guy. I go straight to the multi vitamins isle are & he follows me. Asks if I need help, I say "no, I know what I'm looking for, but thank you". He says "ok". And he just stands there looking at me. I'm looking at all the products, prices, comparing them & he's still standing there just staring at me (I hate it when store owners do that, it's uncomfortable to me). I ask him if he has the product I saw online & he says "yes" & shows it to me. I start reading the labels on it. I then hear another man (I assume it's the manager/owner) over the counter talking in Indian to the clerk. He then comes over. Long story short, he tries to talk me out of buying the brand name product I want & tries to steer me over to a GNC product. I tell him, I know what I want. He then continues to feed me BS about the brand name product & how it's all advertising & doesn't work. I say "dude, I know what I'm buying & if you don't recommend it or think it doesn't work, then let me find that out for myself". For whatever reason, he didn't want to sell me the product & insisted I buy the GNC product. Frustrated, I say forget it & buy the vitamins instead. After making my purchase I saw a shaker cup that I needed & saw the price said $4.99 / $3.99 (member price). I grab the cup & take it the counter, he says "that's $9". I say "it says $4.99 on the shelf". He says "that's not the right one but give me what you have, it's ok". I say "well, I have $7 left in change", he says "that's fine, I'll take it. Thank you". I walked out shaking my head thinking I'm not going back there again. I've had similar issues at this store before but never this bad. I'm a frequent buyer at GNC but I'll have to go elsewhere. If anything, the best service I received was at the GNC Curtner store at The Plant. I'll just shop there from now on. Hate to say this, but seems like all the Indian run ones are shady. read more

Probably the best GNC I've been to. The reason -the guy over there Sam , he's the owner of the store and treats you as a family. He gives me and my girlfriend great discounts . This store is unlike the stores in the mall which are run directly by GNC, these franchises give you the best rate for anything you want. Sam is the man I would say, he's the real MVP. Came to GNC today to pick up some vitamins which opened at 10am since i was in the neighborhood. Well it is now 10:10am and the store is still not open. Hmm if it says that they are open at 10am then that is the time that they need to be open up at. I work in sales/retail and whatever it takes to open up on time, should be done. I like GNC but, not this location as the Indian man that always works there is rude! I won't go back to this store, I'd rather drive a little further to be treated better. I called this store last week to ask about a new product (ON protein cake bites) & if they had it in stock. He said "No" I mentioned it is sold online, he said "WE DON'T HAVE IT HERE OK?!?" I just hung up. Today, I went in to the store thinking since I just bought some at another location last week, this store should have them. I walked in & he greets me asking if I need help. I then ask for ON Protein cake bites. He said "We don't carry those" I told him I just bought them from another GNC last week. He said "NO! That is a discontinued product, we don't have it anymore!!" I said "NO, it is a new product that was just released a month or so ago!" He said "Oh, um yeah we are supposed to get them next week!" WTF?!? If I can give him a zero I would !rude rude rude we bought some men multi vitamins at another GNC wanted to return them to get another type of at GNC multi vitamins. He told us we could only get credit for $22 which the vitamin were 75. He was not willing to help us because we didn't have a receipt. HOWEVER WE do have a membership that he could look up when and where we bought the vitamins . We called another GNC and they are willing to help us clearly with our situation with no receipt changing the packets out for another and maybe we would have to pay 30 cents extra instead of this GNC wanting us to pay about $50 extra beware beware beware read more

GNC's return policy has always been return to any GNC within 30 days of purchase. The man at this store is arrogant and ignorant of company policies and refuses to accept any returns. Mainly because any returns hurt the stores quotas they are required to have. Had customer service called in hopes to make him do my return, because this is not my first incident. But he ABSOLUTELY REFUSED. Goes to show money over company policies. Store is absolutely dead already, surprised it isn't shut down yet. read more

I agree with the other reviews of this particular GNC. I don't know how many employees they have here but I seem to always see the same guy every time I come here. He seems like he hates his job and doesn't seem to like it when you ask him questions, because he never smiles and his answers are short and not very helpful. I usually don't buy supplements from ANY store. I buy mine online since it's cheaper and I get hook ups easily. This GNC is terrible compared to the other ones though. I picked up a tub of SuperPump250 and asked the guy if he price matches and he starts telling me about all these promotions if I sign up for 3 different things. So his price comes out to be $45 and I say online it's only $30~. He says it's the same thing and I look at him straight in the eyes walking out his store making sure he looks like an idiot. If I could give -stars, I would. Idiot shouldn't have said that because he would've made his first sale in who knows how long. I'm always in this area so I know people NEVER come in. read more

I came in randomly with my boyfriend and we were browsing for him and I saw that hydroxy cut was on sale so we bought that and the guy was really cold! Usually my boyfriend spends tons of money in here, and he did buy a thing or two not including mine, and I guess you can kind of ask for lower prices or free water bottle but this guy had his poker face on. And I thought maybe it was to just between the guys but the he was rude to me! I will not come here again. It has 2 star ratings for a reason. Came in today for the first time to check them out and our experience was nothing less than awesome. Good product , great prices.

A couple of weeks ago I purchased a couple of items but ended up not needing them, so I naturally I was going to return them. The back of the receipt says you can return items to "any" GNC store, so I went to this one on capitol. The clerk, Mohammod, told me that they couldn't honor the return because it wasn't, as he said, the same type of store as that of the ones in the mall. I assume he meant it was privately owned, vs just another retail branch. I asked him for a manager to speak with (they weren't there), asked for the manager number (didn't have one), asked for the corporate number (they didn't have it). needless to say, I think this GNC was VERY unaccomodating, thus this yelp. Who knows, maybe I'm in the wrong, and I should be yelping against GNC's policy to put "any" behind a receipt, but to have no contact information to provide a customer is ridiculous. if i could put zero stars, i would, but the minimum is one. read more

I wasn't too satisfied with the help I got in the store, the person that was helping me didn't have much knowledge when it came to the products that I asked about. I went in wanting to buy some stuff and he actually talked me out of it because the staff didn't seem very knowledgeable about the health supplements. I went to another health related store and they helped me out a lot because they actually knew the products and informed me from their first hand experience. If there was a zero star, I would definitely click it! The person who claimed to be the owner was extremely rude and unwelcoming! I made a purchase two days prior with the so called owner, who remembered selling the protein to me! I made two shakes out of the container. The protein was awful! ! I know you can return the product if it is more than half full.! I did not have the receipt, and even though he remembered me from a day ago, and he remembered selling me the product he still would not exchange it. I asked to speak to an owner, he said he was the owner and still wouldn't exchange it! I have been to several gnc establishments before and never had this issue! Never! And that's dealing with just regular employees! To be an owner and still not care about repeat customers, or having great customer service greatly reflects on the business it self! He did not even try to work with me ! I spend on average $200. a month on supplements ! Every month! This place is close to my house as well which is convenient for me, but because of the "Owners" incredibly rude service and unwillingness to help a retuning customer, I will never shiop here again!
