But as soon as they move the new location off the Beltway 8 near HEB. One of their employees, the cashier; follows me around in the store. I always come in and buy the same thing I've been buying for years. I didn't confront them and ignored it at first. If he does it again, I will confront them. It's normally the cashier or someone standing near the cashier. I'm AA woman and I don't appreciate being followed around the store as if you think I'm going to steal. I haven't stole and I won't start. That's not my forte. Get off my back and let my skin breathe. I want to be able to walk around the store like I've been doing for many years and don't need you to follow me like some creep. About the pills, they have a wide selection and it's still expanding. I only get one certain pill and like everything else it's gone up. It used to be $15 a box now it's $23 a box. Oh my he-ba jebbies? It took me a minute to figure out where the front entrance was (lol) as it is not facing the main street (Broadway)...no fault of the store associates working there. It was just awkward going around to the "back" of the building to go inside. The store representative greeted us and was very helpful in assisting us find the bilberry vitamins. He knew exactly what we were referring to; very knowledgeable. I've never even heard of it! The vitamins were reasonably priced and there was a BOGO 50% sale. My mother is on a walker and the rep was kind enough to bend down to get the vitamins off the bottom shelf and walk over to the fridge to get her a bottle of water. He didn't have to do it but he did; very respectful and helpful young man.

There were only two cars in front of me in line to order, to even get my order to the staff took 10 minutes. I ordered the Original High Protein Chocolate 20 ounce- simple order, no modifications. It took another 10 minutes to get to the staff where I watched one staff member make toast, two other smoothies before greeting me and asking me to double check my order. When she asked me if I ordered a banana strawberry toast I knew they screwed up. I reminded her of my order and then she created a new order I paid (she did apologize and took $2 off) and then asked me to drive my car in front of the store and she would bring it out. This whole drive thru experience took 35 minutes. For a smoothie king to take that long seems unacceptable, I learned my lesson and will not be going back to this smoothie king for a long time. I was 30 minutes late to work but that was my own fault for assuming smoothie king would be faster. If you have the time to wait then there's nothing wrong with their drinks, but if you're in a rush, don't go here!

The employees rarely greet customers when you walk in, and there's no acknowledgment or "thank you" when picking up an order. What makes this more frustrating is that I come here regularly--just about every other day--so it's not a one-time experience. You would expect at least basic courtesy, especially for repeat customers. If there were another location conveniently on my way to work, I would absolutely choose it over this one. Customer service really matters, and unfortunately, this location is lacking.
