If you are looking for some supplements and don't want to pay the same types of prices that you…read morewould have to shell out at the GNC, then the Vitamin Shoppe will be a good alternative ... now, I am not saying that they are extremely cheaper but they have lots of good sales and blowouts for you to chose from. I stopped in there today and had such an enjoyable experience with the consultants that work there (I have been there about three or four times for different reasons). The staff is extremely helpful and really has a great amount of knowledge about everything. Today I was in for multivitamins and a cleanse package to kick of the winter healthier and wiser than before ;) They were all about helping and adding to the conversation when I was asking questions and if it is more beneficial to drink my multivtamins then swallow the pills. This location is right next to the Chipotle outside of the Maine Mall and is definitely worth the wait and less hassle then fighting the silly mall crowds to get to GNC.

We found quite a few things we haven't been able to find anywhere else locally, like vegan Worcestershire. Hooray! You'll find lots of seeds, nuts and flours bagged in-house. Plus, so many options and varieties (of foods we've been desperate for since moving here) to choose from that you, sadly, won't find in any other store here in Maine. Oh, we also splurged on some locally made sourdough bread and a couple gluten-free vegan cupcakes. So they weren't cheap.. so what? They were both surprisingly delicious for not being made fresh at our home! It's true, you usually get what you pay for and some things are just more expensive because they're made with more expensive ingredients. They're worth a splurge sometimes!
