The Publix Supermarket at Las Olas.... Having "Las Olas" is a bit misleading. It is not next to…read morequaint shops and restaurants but rather across the street from the Fort Lauderdale Court House. Located at 601 S. Andrews Avenue this Publix has its own Pharmacy, Liquor Store and Starbucks. The store itself is clean and modern with a good size parking garage. Lunchtime is quite busy at this location because everyone from the courthouse comes here. The staff is friendly and there is a large lounge area in front where you can sit, eat, and socialize. The only negative thing is the amount of homeless people you will encounter. It's a Very Nice Publix but sadly no effort is made to direct them to vacate the property especially in the lounge area and the bathrooms. Otherwise, this Publix is 5 Star.

BM's is a particularly small market, but even for its size, it's probably more practical than a chain supermarket will ever be (and, yes, even more so than Whole Foods). What makes this place so awesome? - Juice bar and Cafe (fresh Organic juices and prepared foods) - Raw Milk (Grass-fed) - Grass-fed meats (Bison, Ground beef, Filet Mignon, etc.) - Raw Goat Milk - Apple Cider - Pastured eggs and Poultry - Raw nuts - Veggies and Fruits - Goji Berries, Powder, Chocolate Sauce(?), Granola - It's open six-days a week! No longer do you have to wait on the weekends to get your local supply from farmer's at Josh's (if you're in Broward) The workers are always helpful and friendly, and particularly knowledgeable about the items they carry. One guy was explaining -- although I already knew-- the dangers of dielectric heating in microwaves, and how the Russians were the first to advocate concerns. No, he's not a conspirator, y'all. The owner is present, at times, and like the staff, can be seen educating the locals about the dangers of GMOs and MNC's that are harming local farms; and Agri-business in general. Apart from that, they sell products ranging from Baby Supplies to Mattresses, all for the super health-conscious! Go to BM's and educate yourself -- learn from others (workers' community) -- the importance of sustainable living is now important than ever. *NOTE* - There's a onetime membership fee of $15 to join, so don't be surprised during checkout.

I hate using all the buzz words but if you've tasted real food in the places it is plentiful and then come to food desert of South Florida and been subsisting on the junk here, you'd know why I feel like I found an oasis. The owner seemed super knowledgeable and nice. The staff were polite and helpful. Keep spreading the knowledge about real food BM!
