Had…read morenever been here, and we found this co-op per the recommendations of a local art gallery owner. Bloomingfoods is a co-op. You pay a membership fee, and the workers there are part of the ownership. Immediately, you are hit with warmth and just that coziness you want in a local grocery store. Whole Foods ambiance but not corporate. There is a deli and a hot/cold foods bar. Produce and plenty of plant-based options to choose from. We definitely enjoyed the experience .

Anyone who shops here knows unfriendly, rude cashiers are a long-standing norm. But this goes far beyond that. I witnessed deli employees openly mocking and laughing at a customer for wearing glasses, including using fake voices and calling them "nerdy." It was cruel, public bullying of someone who appeared to have an eye disability. The stuff of Disney schoolyard villains. Truly an insane thing to witness from grown men in work uniform on the clock. Here's the really disturbing thing... Leadership didn't even care. I reported it immediately and followed up many times (phone, email, website form, social) asking for leadership to respond. The marketing manager assured me that leadership was well aware of the incident. Two weeks later, I still haven't gotten a single response. This is a bit of a jack-of-all-trades store. On the surface it seems like a Middle Eastern market,…read morewith bulk nuts, a large baklava selection, and frozen halal goat meat. But on the other hand, there's a large wine selection, and Italian pork products. In any case, if you're looking for a food that seems to be "cultural," you might find it here, and the prices might be better than Kroger. They have the best bulk nuts/grains I've found in town, and the De Decco pasta is a bit cheaper than Kroger. On the other hand, their baklava is just okay. They have East Asian selections too, but the selection is limited compared to the Chinese/Korean stores on the east side. But if you know what you want, you may well find it here.

All different kinds of chocolate, spices. Foods from all over the world - hence the name of the store. Noodles of all kinds, pasta of all kinds, sauces, exquisite soaps, make up. Interesting sodas and unique drinks from all over the world, an incredible wine selection and craft beers. I am probably leaving out a lot. All I know is anytime I need something interesting or exotic like when I had a craving for pistachio chocolate from Dubai - I knew world foods would have it. Or if I was making butter chicken, I can be certain they have what I need. I also made a lemongrass noodle soup with vercemelli noodles and I got them from here. I have also really enjoyed their exotic selection of soaps and bath products. This store is a never ending fountain of exciting and interesting options for when you're seeking something international to prepare for food or something to pamper yourself with. Fits nicely into Bloomington's ever expanding eclectic and diversity vibe. You gotta try it!

Please give Molly's your time and money because you won't find this kind of service elsewhere!…read more Molly is passionate and knowledgeable in this field. I went to Molly's for the first time over the weekend. I came in clueless and looking for something natural for my daughter's growing pains (muscle cramps in legs.) I left the store feeling educated and felt like I had a new friend! Molly greeted my daughter and I within a second of walking in, and she was so welcoming! I told her what I was looking for, and she explained everything to me and then some! She took her time explaining and listened to me, too. She truly listened, and I felt heard. I bought everything she recommended because this wonderful woman is reputable and greatly educated. Not only that, but I have never been treated so greatly in an establishment. She was very personable and had a heart to heart with me about some health issues I'm going through currently. She was exactly right! I took her advice and have been feeling great ever since our visit 4 days ago. I will never forget meeting Molly or our encounter. I appreciate her insight and wisdom so, so much. Thank you, Molly, for everything! My daughter has slept through the night without leg cramps ever since. I will never go anywhere else for my family's vitamin/supplement needs and referring anyone who will listen in Molly's direction. If you're looking for super adorable and well-made hair bows and/or head wraps, Molly's granddaughter makes them and sells them here, too. We love our Harry Potter headband! Thank you for a great experience.

They have many aisles of boxed, canned, and bottled foods and ingredients. They even have a sandwich shop that makes delicious sandwiches and sides. It was such a fun trip and it also felt good to know we are supporting a small business. Most of the employees were friendly, especially the cashier. He had a happy demeanor and made us feel welcome as travelers. I would definitely stop and try a sandwich and some of their sides.
