Giveaway on grand opening day

Checked out the soft opening and was really impressed with what Fresh Thyme did to what used to be a dark and depressing Marsh into a bright and "fresh" space. Great prices and selection, I will probably stop by whenever I am on this side of town to see if they continue to impress. Love the app with coupons that they offer.

Fresh Thyme hasn't been open long, but I'm already impressed! Employees are very friendly and helpful. I asked a question and the employee was very warm and even walked with me to the place to show me. When he left, he encouraged me to come get him if I had any other questions. I thought it was very nice! A great selection of organic/natural foods as well as regular produce. Everything looks fresh and orderly. I hate seeing the produce looking old or moldy - not here, everything looks great and well stocked. I was so surprised at the size of their selection! Lots of cheeses, meat products and dairy goods. I saw a lot of brands that I have never seen before. I enjoyed their juice from their juice bar. Prices are hit and miss - some things are very fairly priced while others you can find cheaper elsewhere.

Amazing store. Imagine Whole Foods + Trader Joe's and you have Fresh Thyme. Super clean and an awesome selection of great products.

Fresh Thyme reminds me a lot of Lucky's but I think I like this one better (so far).

It's a family owned and run orchard recently acquired by parents and children. They plan to increase their footprint locally by developing a tasting room etc here outside of Bloomington. The older couple running the shop were extremely helpful and friendly. Give them a try when you are looking for fruit.

One such activity is visiting apple orchards and sampling the many varieties of apples and apple adjacent treats. On a sunny fall day, after visiting I.U., I traveled a little bit out to Slaughter and was greeted warmly by the proprietor. I learned that they were the parents of the owners and were looking after the place for a bit. Upon entering the farm market, I was presented with wonderful displays of apples, ciders, apple butter, and of course, cider donuts. Samples were offered up on many of their wares, and was able to taste one of their unique apple varieties as well as one of their hard ciders. Of course, I left with several bags worth of goodies as well as an amazing experience. Will look forward to a return visit next time I'm in the area.

Kroger on the west side of Bloomington has become one of the worst grocery shopping experiences…read moreI've had. The store was dirty, poorly maintained, and clearly understaffed. The biggest problem was the meat department. Several customers, including me, stood at the service counter for 20-30 minutes waiting for assistance. We repeatedly called out, looked around for an employee, and no one came. It got so bad that the bread delivery driver took it upon himself to find a manager because there was simply no one available to help customers. After finally getting assistance and finishing our shopping, the experience only got worse. The employee at the customer service desk was rude, dismissive, and acted like helping customers was an inconvenience. There was no courtesy, no apology for the excessive wait, and no concern whatsoever for the poor experience. Customer service throughout the store was virtually nonexistent. Employees were difficult to find, no one seemed interested in helping, and the overall atmosphere felt disorganized and neglected. This store has serious problems with cleanliness, staffing, and customer service. Waiting half an hour at a service counter is unacceptable, and being treated rudely afterward makes it even worse. There are too many other grocery stores in Bloomington to waste time and money at a place that clearly doesn't value its customers. Until Kroger addresses the filthy conditions, chronic understaffing, and poor customer service, I cannot recommend shopping at this location.
