Gustavo helped install a floodlight in our backyard. He helped advise us on which one to go with based on his experience. He was prompt and did a great job with the installation. Pricing was as discussed and we were very pleased with his work. We will definitely go to GLugo Electric again for our future needs! read more

GLugo Electric is a quality small electrical business that is adaptable to residential as well as commercial work. The owner, Gustavo, is a polite professional licensed electrician businessman. He did a quality small residential job for me approximately six years ago and I subsequently hired him to complete some commercial electrical work for a small church where I volunteer. He and his crew are friendly, professional, efficient, and very competent in the work they do. He is very responsive to all requests small and large. I highly recommend him for any electrical work residential or commercial. He has been my sole go to electrician for the past six years and I plan to continue hiring him into the future of his business read more

Gus, has done several projects for me from installing ceiling fans and recessed lighting and outdoor landscape lights

I hired GLugo to install recessed lights in my house. Gustavo provided me a free in-person estimate consultation and went over the details. He priced the project reasonably. He is very thorough with his work meeting the electrical codes. It was really easy to work with him. It has been a few months since the project and everything is functioning fine. read more

I upgraded the electrical panels for my duplex to 200 Amps. After getting multiple bids, I chose Gustavo because he came up with the best solution for a tricky upgrade. In addition, he managed the permit process and PG&E inspections. It was a lengthy install primarily due to the permit process, but Gustavo was able to push everything through with both the city and PG&E. I highly recommend Gustavo as an electrician. read more

I had a lot of wiring issues in my house, poor Gustavo spent whole day from 9am to 8pm rewiring switches, fans and installing smart switches. He did very good job, no cutting corners , no rush. great work. very clean. Highly recommend it read more

Gustavo was great! We were searching for electricians to set up a dedicated outlet in our garage for a treadmill and went through Yelp's system for collecting quotes. No one would give us an estimate without coming by to see it first but Gustavo was able to provide one with just a few pictures. He's extremely responsive, to the point, and was in and out at the scheduled time - which is a dream when you're working from home with tons of meetings. Would definitely reach out to him again for any other electrical needs - highly recommend! read more

I was fortunate enough to have Gustavo. I needed to add 1 dedicated wire/breaker for the bathroom outlet, and he gave me an estimate that is more than reasonable to my Yelp mass quote request immediately even it was on the weekend. He came on time of appointment day, and got it done the work within 10 days from initial Yelp quote. What I most impressed was that he meticulously closed the drywall hole he opened to fish the wire. He even offered (with very small fee) to patch it further by himself, but I decided to do by myself because rest should be doable by non-experienced person like me, and I did not want to waste the time of this great electrician. Definitely will come back to him next time. read more

We can't say enough good things about Gustavo. We had an issue with a bathroom light not working. It was a small job, yet Gustavo was willing to help us out with it. Gustavo was prompt, pleasant and professional. We were also impressed by how well-prepared he was and how respectful he was with regard to our home, taking care not to dirty or scratch anything. Now the issue is resolved, thanks to Gustavo (and for a very modest amount). The world needs more people like Gustavo! read more

We had some miscellaneous electrical work that we wanted to get done in our home (additional outlets to hide TV wires, exhaust fan in the bathroom, etc.). Gustavo and his team were very professional about executing this project. He came and reviewed the work that needed to be done and shared a quote online. They followed all the necessary COVID-19 protocols while working. They were also very respectful and cleaned up after the work was done in one area. We were getting the work done during a weekday and Gustavo was very flexible in trying not to make too much noise during meetings. He was sport about making a last minute trip back to the store to make sure the wires he installed matched our existing coaxial cable. Originally he had quoted 1.5 days for the work to be done but the team chose to stay late (till 7pm) and finish the job on the same day (highly appreciated!). He even fixed some of the mistakes our previous electricians had made. I would highly recommend Gustavo for any electrical projects. I am sure I will be going back to him in case of any need in the future. read more

I found Gustavo completely by accident through Request-A-Quote...I was sending a quote request to an electrician our real estate agent had recommended and sent the request to him and to a few other electricians as well. He responded first (within a 30 minutes) and offered to come out that weekend to take a look at our bath fan replacement and rewiring project. We needed three bath fans installed, two as replacements and one completely new installation. Gustavo came out (arrived right on time), provided a detailed, itemized bid that was lower than the other electricians we had provide estimates and he was willing to do the work on the following weekend. Gustavo and his assistant (whose name I don't recall) showed up on time and immediately set to work. The project was actually more complex than we initially thought as they also had to install ducting in our attic to connect the upstairs fans to the attic vent, which was not part of the original scope of work. Gustavo purchased the needed materials and completed the work in one day. He did an excellent job with rewiring the two bathrooms and did a thorough job cleaning up after himself. He is extremely professional, a quiet and very polite individual, and his responsiveness and promptness really stood out to me. I plan to use him for future electrical work and would highly recommend his services. read more

Gustavo is an excellent electrician with excellent customer relation skills also. He always shows up on time when he says he will and does high quality work. He made excellent recommendations for some kitchen lighting in our house and it was executed with great skill. I highly recommend Gustavo and his team. We would not hesitate to use his services again in the future. read more

My wife and I had bought these pendant lights months ago and we just never got around to having them installed - for no good reason. However, the new year was here, and we thought enough was enough. We started calling local electricians, several of whom, I might add, neither picked up the phone nor returned our calls and voice messages. Then, we got on everyone's favorite merchant quote platform - Yelp! - and started requesting quotes from nearby. Gustavo was one of the first to respond. He said he could come by that very afternoon, if we wanted, to give us an estimate. He arrived on time (even a bit earlier) and surveyed out everything he needed to see. He then put out the quote, which my wife and I first thought was a bit extreme (we really don't know much about electrical/wiring jobs), but upon some quick research, we realized was more than reasonable. As a bonus, Gustavo told us he could install the lights right then and there, if we wanted. Well, what the heck, we had waited for almost half a year already and seeing those pretty lights up there could not have come soon enough. So we told Gustavo to have at it. In a couple of hours, the lights were up, the messes were cleaned and Gustavo was ready to go. I am extremely happy with Gustavo's professionalism and the quality of his work. But as a part-time self-employed person myself, I am delighted that he was responsive on mobile, unlike several others, beat the competition to not only offer the best pricing, but also got the job done in a heartbeat. Thank you, Gustavo, and well done! read more

Amazing!! I'm guilty of not adding many reviews although I use them all the time and am I grateful that I do. The reviews allowed me to find Gustavo. Our hallway lights have been out of commission for over two months and although we've had quotes, electricians have been totally undependable. I was nearing desperation and then submitted for a quote on Yelp. Not only did Gustavo respond right away, he came over same day to do a quote. You could feel the sincerity from him immediately. He gave us great advice and was super reasonable! He came over today to fix the lights and replaced them with new fixtures that I love. I highly recommend him and my home needs a ton of upgrades that I will definitely call upon Gustavo for. Thank you for everything Gustavo! You literally light up my day. read more

We were having flickering lights in our home for several weeks. None of the electronics we called were available for weeks but some didn't call us back. I searched and found Gustavo on Yelp and since he had great reviews decided to message him. He got back to me in less than one hour and arranged to come out today which is a Sunday! He found that the main breaker was arcing and getting very hot! He drove all the way to San Jose to get the breaker and installed it the same day! His prices were very reasonable as well! Gustavo and his team did a wonderful job with the installation of recessed lights and installation of an EV car charger in our home. They spent many hours in the crawlspace running a high voltage line across the house and also correcting poorly installed wiring done under the previous owner(s). I appreciated the small details like putting plastic sheeting to minimize dust and filling up gaps in the drywall. Very professional, punctual, and honest. Gustavo provided fantastic service from the very beginning with his responsiveness to my yelp messages and willingness to conduct a free estimate that same week. His quote was much less expensive than what I received from other comparable electricians, and I was impressed by his professionalism. I really appreciated the booties and laying down of smocks to keep everything clean. He came back the next week to install a second story ceiling fan (no previous ceiling fixture) and transformer in our kitchen to run electricity to our front porch for a video doorbell. He went above and beyond moving furniture around as needed and completing the transformer installation in difficult to reach cabinets/walls so everything would be hidden. He managed to keep everything spotless and put back in its proper place. He finished the work in one day and the final price was exactly as estimated. We'll hire him again for any future needs since he does amazing work at a great value. read more
