Glowaki Chiropractic is the best around. I've tried 2 or 3 others in the Long Beach/Seal Beach area and no others compare to Glowaki's standard of care or office flexibility and stellar communication with the patient. Before even getting started, Dr. Alan and Dr. Glowaki did a comprehensive health review to ensure they understood the issue and gained my commitment to participate in my own recovery. The flexibility of the office hours ensures my commitment stays on point and the onsite masseuse also allows for an easy top to bottom recovery program. I've even got both of my sons who are athletes going to see the chiros at the office for preventative health as well. I highly recommend this practice above all others in the local area. read more

I really wanted to like this place, but my experience was disappointing. They advertise that they take insurance, but that wasn't the case once I got there everything ended up being out of pocket. It felt like they were more focused on money than actually helping patients. The office also seemed very understaffed and disorganized, which made the whole visit stressful. My wife came across Glowaki Chiro at a health wellness event our work was throwing for us employees to check out different business specializing in different things regarding peoples' health. My wife got a free consultation and said she really loved it. She then referred me which I was hesitant as a previous chiropractor I went to wasn't all that (only laid on a vibrating chair and had my neck cracked when my pain was in my lower back). Anyways, having my free consultation began with a warm welcoming by the office staff and you can tell they're invested in you as well as the doctors are. Office staff is always smiling and always willing to work with us when we need to reschedule. I have had majority of my adjustment with Dr. Allen and the man knows his stuff, and you can take he is WITH you on this journey to improvement and healing. I came to this Chiro with the hope to repair my back after an accident I was in 3 years ago that totaled my car and now with a one year old son, I want to be able to know that I can hold my son for long periods of time and be in a great state of health to watch him. So far after almost 3 months, I feel a 90% improvement and I know even more improvement is on the way. The rate that was charged was worth it and have heard of MUCH more expensive alternatives. I had the same experience with the staff and doctors at Glowaki Chiropractic. It's literally the same exact SCAM! There is no adjustment in the first day or any information about your spine / neck. The two doctors take turns seeing you, and then set goals for you to go from 0-100% with no apparent strategy or description of techniques or machines. After x-rays, the will tell you that they see a problem - but won't tell you what it is, and tell you you're a top priority to them. Then they schedule an out of office time 7pm same day to talk to you about a private plan outside of insurance. It's thousands of dollars per month for 3-4 months with three visits per week. They say their office staff has a hard time working with your insurance even though they say we work with all insurance companies. After that, they set you up for immediate payment. I decided not to go the private route - because I can't afford it and also because I pay for insurance! My next steps are to reach out to my insurance and make a claim about the spenditures from the X-rays and unnecessary appointments leading up to this SCAM. Please go elsewhere. read more

I highly recommend Glowaki Chiropractic. They have a wonderful group of doctors and associates. The doctors are incredibly knowledgeable and know exactly what treatments that need to be performed. They genuinely care and are very respectful. The associates are fantastic. They are very nice, caring, and attentive to your needs. And their follow up is outstanding. I came to them based on a referral I received from a close and trusted friend and I'm so glad I did. I was in a lot of pain and it seemed to come out of nowhere. Dr. David and I had a lengthy conversation about my past, any sports that I played that may have contributed to my pain, any work related activities, or any other activity or events that may have been a contributing factor. They took X-Rays of my spine, including my neck area. The results were pretty clear. I had some neck and spinal issues that needed to be addressed. Dr. David provided an outline of what he was going to do, and equally as important, what I needed to do at home to get things cleared up and get rid of the pain. I started feeling the results of his work, as well as my "homework", immediately. After the first 90 days, they took another X-Ray and when we did a side by side comparison, we could definitely see the improvement. They did their part and they provided me the tools I needed to take take care of myself and I'm so very thankful for that. Not normally one to write reviews but I honestly feel compelled to warn others of some pretty immoral business practices here. I came in with severe low back pain, and upon my initial visit, I spent about an hour between two of the doctors here. Answering all good questions, they were asking about my goals, what happened, what line of work, my lifestyle, and finally conducting x-rays. I provided my insurance and ID, (I have anthem Gold PPO, so solid insurance). The doctor states he needs to call my insurance for clarification of what my charges will be... OK that is interesting, I've been to multiple chiropractors and never had an issue. They do not adjust on the first visit, instead they ask me to come back the next day at 7 pm. Weird timing but ok, I'm in serious pain and want to get taken care of. Eat an early dinner and help my wife get ready to put the kiddo down early so I can get fixed. Come back the next day and I immediately ask what happened with my insurance. One of the doctors says "oh we'll talk about that later". Now my BS meter is going off, give it to me straight here. I go back with the other doctor, and he proceeds to give me a 45 minute presentation of my case, and outlines a "wellness plan" one that "by the end will have my organs operating better than ever before".. really? Three courses of coming in 3 DAYS A WEEK. And then move on to "wellness" coming in once or twice a week. NEARLY $4000.00!! "we don't want to charge your card every visit cause it's a pain with insurance, so we like to charge in bulk up front" what planet are these guys living on? "yeah, I'm not doing that" was my answer. "Would you be open to doing the first course?" ($900) Absolutely not. I want nothing to do with this place. Walked out without an adjustment. Two visits and a waste of time. All the while the really messed up thing here, I noted on my intake form pain of 9-10. Severe pain. They even comment on how I can barely get out of the chair. I just had a kid and we were talking about how bad it is that I can't help in the middle of the night, or even change his diaper because I can't bend over. "you want to get back to holding your kid right" Disgusting. *What is the mission of this place? Why the shadiness/used cars salesmen tactics? Think twice and use some critical thinking. read more

Great environment! Great people! Even greater results! I'm a pharmacy tech and I'm on my feet stationary all day. Suffering from frozen shoulder, lower back pain and stiffness the chiropractic group has really worked together to relieve my pain. The doctors provide the most excellent physical care and always remember things about each patient, whether it's a certain part of their body that has been experiencing pain or an aspect of their every day life. X-rays are taken when you first visit, and the doctors are sure to show you your X-rays and explain in detail what exactly is out of alignment, and then they'll create a game plan with you to tackle the issue. The office staff is also phenomenal, they greet each patient so warmly and by name, always taking the time to get to know each patient and remembering conversations, despite having so many patients! The ladies at the desk are so incredibly accommodating and will work with you to make sure you're able to come in each week at a time that works for you. Very friendly, professional, and most importantly, experienced. I walked in with severe lower back pain. After two short appointments they set me up on a three month plan to adjust my spine and relieve the pain. They did a quick adjustment today and I have to say, I already feel better. I found them very unprofessional. I had the same experience as another reviewer who said they did not want to go through my insurance because it was "too much work" for the girls in the office. They pushed me to a long-term commitment and wanted $1300 upfront for visits 3x a week. I should have left right then, but I went ahead with xrays and an adjustment. It was really aggressive and I didn't feel well that day or the following. I can't say that they injured me, but my neck pain was worse after the visit. Overall it was a very bad experience and thankfully I've found a much better provider. read more

I have been on treatment with them for a while now and since I started I felt a lot better. It's been a struggle for my knees going up and down stairs but with continuous support from the doctors I am tremendously happy that now I can do it without pain, my neck and back pain is also improving a lot.
