I spent 3 hours just to do a blow dry..if you don't speak Spanish, the employees don't tell you what they're going to do or how long it will take. They honestly kind of ignore you, to the point it's almost rude. I spent most of the time sitting around waiting. There isn't one stylist that stays throughout the process. Everyone just picks up where the other stylist left off if they get busy doing someone else's hair. The end product was amazing, but was it worth the wait...not for me. The first visit was good or so I thought. First of all I waited almost 7 hrs for coloring. I left happy with what seems to be the results I was hoping for, but little did I know.. withing the first week after my hair started braking. I couldn't brush it without crying.. I had beautiful long hair and ended up cutting it shoulders length and spending a lot of money in hair products to repair the damage. So because of Covid appointments are necessary. I scheduled my appointment a week in advance. I showed up 10 min before my appointment I walked in no introduction nothing I came in and said I had appointment today, stylist said it will be couple mins I said okay but I did mention I would need to leave in 1.5 hour to pick up my kids. I did just come in for a HAIRCUT. She told the washer to wash my hair while she does a blowout. I sat there a whole hour with wet hair. After 1:15 I told her to charge me for the wash. I have been going here for over 2 years now. The first time I went, I showed Yaniris a picture and she told me she was unable to do it because she did not want to damage my hair. I used to have jet black hair and I wanted blonde ... she did not want to damage it so she explained that we had to do it in steps in order for me to get the light look I was looking for. Through time, she would lighten it without damaging it. I was using box dye and Yaniris explained to me that i had to stop ASAP because it is no good for your hair so I stopped... haven't used boxed color since. I get a balayage done and I go to get my roots done every few weeks to maintain the freshly done look. When I go there, I know I will leave with a happy end result. When you go to her page, the first word is WOW! But as soon as you go and do your hair there it is a different story. First of all, you're there all day. Yes I know there's certain processes that take a long time, but no she literally starts your hair and let's others finish it. On top of that, she over processes your hair, it comes out like you want it but completely damage. The new stylist I go to works on me from the beginning until the end, and as soon as she saw my hair she was like wow it's so over processed. And literally only did a little bit of color and told me to come back because even if it's what I want she's only going to do what's healthy for my hair. Honestly, appointment or not , yaniris is just unprofessional. Don't get me wrong, the color comes out beautiful but the breakage and quality of your hair is so disappointing, the wait is so not worth it. Feel so disgusted by how I was treated from this place. I was a long time customer coming from New York just doing the basic color. I put extensions every so often and I wanted to try it there and Yaniris did a great job with color and install but completely got curly hair for a girl who has Chinese dead straight hair. She said it was all she had and wasn't too curly. I let that go because she had no time looking for my texture. Giving her the benefit of doubt. Yet I still spent over $700 for the overall job it entails to install hair. Now two month ago I went to her for a special trip coming up in a month in advance asking her to get the hair and install it. Everything went smooth or so I thought. Paid a total of $840 that included toning of two bundles, install 7 lines. When I was on vacation and got the hair wet it went completely curly. I was so upset bc it is unmanageable hair especially to someone who's always had straight hair. I immediately made Yaniris aware and told her I would go back in 2 days and have her take it off since it was NOT what I asked for. She was rather helpful told me she would fix it. Once I got back she told me to wait and that she would replace it with the right hair. So I waited and a month passed and nothing so when my trip came up I texted her and she told me 5 days before my trip she didn't get the hair and she would only refund me hair. Went back and forth explaining to her that I paid for a job not two bundles of hair and that was completely unfair. Not to mention so messed up when I have no time to find hair or another stylist who cares. Went in person to see if after what she saw what she put on me that she would be reconsider. Nope, I had to get my roots done and she in fact then deducted from the $360 which was just for the two bundles. Went to tell me how I am lucky and she is being fair because I went on a month with the hair. Yet I told her 3 days after install that I would return to have her take this off bc it's not what i trusted her to do! She didn't care and not at one moment apologized at least for what she did to me a second. I trusted her in the first installment that she gave me curly and in the second time to find the right hair yet she still probably put what she had available and didn't care about her customer. Writing this because I'm more hurt than mad, I work two jobs to give away $560 that she claims doesn't owe me. If I knew she was installing the wrong hair again to make a sale I wouldn't have!!! I walked out trusting my straight hair would remain straight. Worst part is her thinking refunding me just the hair would suffice. I paid for a job not hair ! Installing consists of Toning hair per bundle, hair bundles and $35 per line which i had 6! ....it was the second time as well! First time she made me buy that hair it was another $700 tab that nobody lost but me! LUCKILY chase re funded me the $95 dollars for my makeup bc they saw I was charged twice which the owner did not care or attempt to refund me (which is over priced to begin with, for being in Paterson and charged $95 for makeup with screaming kids all over,100 degrees in the place and no parking) but because the owner did not do her part on canceling it on her behalf when it charged my card twice it was still on her machine so when the pending went through it charged me $285 dollars more. One time when I paid and then the double when she never canceled the first transaction . Once again she said she would call the credit card machine she never did or got back to me I had to call my bank again and file a claim for all that money.
