I went for a hair and makeup trial months ahead of the big day; while the hair was perfect, I had some notes to scale back the makeup. Makenzi really internalized that feedback and delivered the perfect face for the wedding day itself: understated, yet enhanced. It lasted all day and made me feel so confident. Perhaps more importantly, though, the moms were both so happy with their final product - and my mom can be tough to please! Makenzi didn't bat an eye when my mom asked for multiple tweaks to her eye makeup, and stayed right on schedule. The bride has enough on her plate to deal with the last thing a bride needs is a makeup artist to tell her three weeks out she doesn't have the staff do the job! She has been very unprofessional and refused to refund any deposit at all. Hard to work with! Not affiliated with Chamber of Commerce or Better Business Bureau of AustIn. I've always been pretty good at doing my own make-up, so I wasn't sure if it was necessary. Who was I kidding?? Getting your makeup done professionally, especially by Jessika, is such a wonderful experience and so worth every penny! I went for the more dramatic look, Jessika made me look like a movie star. I've never felt so pretty. Let me tell you, Jessika has some magic makeup, the makeup she uses last all day! She applied my makeup at 11AM, I walked down the isle (in the rain) at 2PM in the middle of June and through all day wedding festivities it still looked like I had a fresh face of makeup late that night. Two of my bridesmaids got their makeup done and theirs lasted all day as well. Not only is Jessika an amazing makeup artist, she is so sweet and talented in so many other areas. She is such a warm and inviting and knowledgeable esthetician- you can tell she truly loves what she does and really puts the effort into learning about your skin and giving it the best treatment possible. I have gotten three microdermabrasion treatments there and I can absolutely notice a difference in my skin! She changes out some of the products she uses each time to address what is going on with your skin at that time- it's very custom and she explains everything that she uses and what it does. I'm currently at work completely barefaced after a treatment there and don't even care because my skin is absolutely glowing. I just had my eyebrows done there today as well and WOOOOOW. Definitely more expensive than an average wax but WORTH it. She must have spent almost a half hour waxing, plucking, combing and trimming every hair for optimal shape.
