The atmosphere is consistently frustrating, and it feels like nobody wants to be there any more than the customers do. Unfortunately, that attitude often shows. I understand that work is work, and dealing with the public all day can't be easy, but customer service is still part of the job. After visiting 10 to 12 different MVC locations over the years, this one stands out as the worst I've experienced. The process feels unnecessarily stressful, the environment is unpleasant, and leaving is usually the best part of the visit. If there were a way to avoid coming here entirely, I'd recommend

I have a PO Box there and as such, I am in there on a near Daily basis. On days when there have been issues, which is exceedingly rare considering how many packages we receive, there have been several occasions where the staff will go out of their way to solve the issue and contact me at home and let me know the issue has been resolved. Also, everyone there is either a native English speaker or speaks perfect English. That seems like a silly thing to comment on but communication is sort of important.

The interview went well and the officer was friendly. The second time I went in for my oath ceremony. It was busier this time. Every employee that I encountered was friendly, helpful and patient. I did not see anyone that was rude to candidates or applicants. In fact, I felt their excitement for us becoming US citizens which I thought was so sweet of them. What also stood out to me was that the employees were very friendly, warm and respectful to each other, which is more than you can say of some work environments in corporate America. There is a parking lot across from the building. I believe it's free to use if you have an appointment, but we parked on the street a block away.

He required my spouse to leave the room without clear explanation. He then asked me a confusing question ("What's happening in Florida in 2023?"), did not allow the interpreter to fully translate, and raised his voice at me when I tried to clarify.

A place for…read moreinformation The Municipal Building in the town of Mount Holly is a very functional and purposeful structure that was opened in 1930. A cool old building but not a particularly aesthetically pleasing one. It kind of remains me of an old school inside with the narrow halls and old stuff hanging on the walls. I don't think this place has been remodeled in quite a while. It is functional though, lots of signs to tell you where to pay various bills or get the endless town forms and little benches and chairs to sit on while you wait. Of course it's also a good place to find records and information about people that lived or were born in the area a long time ago. People that are now far, far away. The clerks and other various folks working here were all patient, pleasant and useful. When they didn't have the information I needed they explained why and where I could get it. Not the most attractive building in the town but it does have it's own kind of old school charm. A pleasant and functional place to visit when you need some information.

What an interesting place to put a passport agency…read more So I walk in to get a passport and the security guy starts yelling at me and tells me to go stand out on the sidewalk and wait until somebody calls me to come in the door. I stand outside on the sidewalk with a bunch of people waiting. It's 87°. Eventually they call us to come in and stand in line to get through the metal detector. This is the standard take your shoes off and put your laptop in a bin same as TSA Nobody that works in this place is friendly or even remotely nice with the exception of a couple of the people behind the counter of the passport agency itself. Hello security guys, you don't have to be a jerk just because your security... they were downright rude. We finally got in and got in line for the passport application and I love you and be home the security guys inside the room we're just as rude as everybody else. The guy in the window, I didn't catch his name but he was Asian, he was nice and the only bright spot of this entire debacle. We got the application done after about a 45 minute wait and they tell us to come back at 2:45 to pick up the passports that should be done by three. We arrive at 2:45 as instructed and try to go inside and of course we are refused again and told to go stand outside and wait. So we sit outside where there is only a couple benches and nowhere really to sit, and the guy comes out and yells at everybody for sitting on the edge of the wall. WhT?? We sat there for a good hour. Finally they call some other people to come in and get in line to pick up their passport. Everybody else is left outside. Now by this time it is storming it is lightning and thunder ring and there is a severe flood warning. It was so bad that they canceled a bunch of flights out of the airport. But the jerks inside the building stood there looking through the glass and all the people standing outside in the downpour including a lady with a little tiny baby probably two or three months old. There is literally no option other than to stand outside in the heat and the cold and rain waiting. No mine do the inside is nice and there's plenty a room for people to stand and wait. Guess that would be too much to ask for with my tax dollars at work. And it seems like there is no recourse in there because there doesn't seem to be any supervisors, these guys acting like jerks have complete control over what they're doing and they literally endanger the lives of probably 30 people by forcing everybody to stand outside in a lightning and thunder storm waiting. Sigh. I would avoid this place like the plague if you can.

They have 12 windows where they can structure this a lot better to be more efficient in serving the public. If you have to get a passport or need to renew yours. I would highly recommend that you make an appointment.
