When Carol told me they were opening a new salon in CARY, I was so excited for them, and was more than willing to make the drive from Nashville, NC to Cary to continue having her as my nail stylist!!! SHE IS SO WORTH the hour drive! The salon is exceptionally beautiful, and clean, the staff there is welcoming, and goes out of their way to make your spa experience everything it should be - totally pampered! Carol is extremely talented and an amazing nail artist; there hasn't been anything I have asked for on my nails that she can't do! I have been getting the GEL X on my nails for the last 3 months, and while it may cost just a bit more, it is sooooooo totally worth it. My nails look as good 3-4 weeks later as they did the day I left the salon. I also tried out their eyelash extension service. I had never ever tried anything like that before. Carol was very skilled in this service, and the entire experience was relaxing, and the lashes turned out wonderful - and very natural looking. I will be a repeat customer for this service for sure! Like I said, I will make the hour drive every month to continue going to this salon. Worth every minute it takes to get there, and such a great experience! The place when i walked in was very clean and didn't have any nail or ammonia smell that some nail salons have. I had a regular basic mani/pedi which the service was great. cut, filed and cuticle care was great no roughness and left both my hands and feet nicely cleaned up; However, during the service I kept making it clear I did not want gel for i'm not a fan and prefer natural. I understand it is a business and gel is more money but I did not want that polish which ended up leaving the rest of the service a bit awkward. The polish job looked great but after 4 days it began to bubble, crack and one nail had the polish cleanly peel off. ( now I have used DND polish before and have gotten at least 2-3 weeks before i need another service. I'm not rough on my hands, use gloves when cleaning, and my nails are short) Luckily I had a similar polish at home and i was able to fix it. Maybe if I gotten the gels as it was being pushed during the service, they would have taken care of it better, but I definitely can tell it was a product issue for regular nails. If I decide to go back I would bring my own base/ top coat and polish with me....which kind of defeats the purpose.

The women including myself were getting just a manicure with gel. The women I had was Great. Although she didn't talk unless she wanted me to move my hand a special way, she did a Great job. The other girls in our group had good workers except one- our daughter had an older man doing her nails - he cut he 3x she was even bleeding still when we left and her nails were not good- chipped after a couple of days. If you go stay on the safe side ask for a female or the younger guy - he was really good.

The first technician who started my pedicure cut my big toenail unevenly. When I pointed it out, he said he would "file it down" to fix it, but filing it only made the nail crooked. Already frustrated, I asked for someone else. June stepped in... while she was kind and gave a great foot massage, she also did not correct the issue. After realizing neither technician could fix the mistake, I ended up filing it myself. Then came the manicure. An older lady, who was the only person not wearing a mask, began doing my nails. I immediately noticed smudges and polish all over my skin. When I pointed it out, she grabbed the acetone and (supposedly accidentally) squirted it in my face. This was honestly the part that upset me the most. While she shaped my nails pretty decent, the polish application was sloppy, and she even scratched my skin. She tried to file my other hand, but I declined because I was already marked up from the first. After all of this, no one offered a genuine apology -- and they still had the nerve to ask for a tip. Simple designs like French tips and stripes have also been disappointing, and for 80 dollars including a 10 dollar tip is too much considering my nails never match the pic I show the tech. Although everyone is very welcoming and friendly, my family and I won't be coming back due to the issues that seem to be happening each visit now rather than once in a blue moon.
