The absolute BEST Chicken Fried Steak in the state! Service is awesome and if your traveling on I-40 in western Oklahoma stop in Hydro and eat at Gloria's They open at 11:00 Easton was our waiter and there was 8 of us and everything was exactly like we ordered.

Pinto beans that came with Catfish meal.. Didn't compliment meal to me..I didn't eat

My buddy and I decided to go on a motorcycle ride from Oklahoma City, and ended up in Hinton Oklahoma.. Yikes!! Our plan was to ride and actually head to Eischen's Bar, to check out there fried chicken.. By the time we got to Hinton it was getting late so I looked up spots to eat on Yelp and found this place.. On to the review.. I will admit, we were both skeptical about this place! It didn't help that when we entered, it was only 1 other person eating.. Yikes After looking at the menu I started feeling queasy at the options.. I decided on ordering one of the "local favorites" I got the fried catfish which came with fries and a side of pinto beans (lol) My buddy got the chicken fried steak, which came with mash potatoes, green beans, and a roll.. main meal: Chicken fried steak, and catfish seemed to be made to order because it was a 10-15 min wait which was fine with me.. When the food came out to my surprise, the food looked good! Came out pipping hot and what not.. My buddy said the chicken fried steak was fresh, hot and had good flavor.. He also said that the mash potatoes tasted homemade, and that they were good as well.. My catfish was seasoned nicely, and were nice size fillets (3).. The staff was very friendly, and checked on us.. The price was pretty good as well! I paid like $13.XX for the catfish meal and a drink.. I took 2 bites of the pinto beans and moved them to the side... It wasn't that they were bad, but it just didn't fit the meal to me.. I wouldn't drive all the way out here or recommend to anyone to go to this place, but for the area it was good.. Now if your in the area, sure stop in if your hungry..

Stayed in Hinton and read the reviews on Google. Very nice and clean establishment with a large variety menu. I had the 2 egg breakfast with bacon and it was sooooo good. Will most definitely be back when we visit Oklahoma again. Saw they had a Hot Link basket special.

Over the holiday weekend, my wife and I took a day trip to western Oklahoma. We visited Taloga, Seiling, Watonga, Geary, and Hinton. As with any trip I'm always looking for new places to eat. We originally wanted to eat in Seiling, but the place we found was drive-thru only (temporarily). Since it was a road trip I wanted to be able to dine in a restaurant. We then found a place in Watonga, but it wasn't open. After that, we figured we would head back towards I-40. Luckily we found Gloria's Kitchen in Hinton. It ended up being a great place to eat. At first, I was dead set on getting chicken fried steak (I will be going back for it!), but then my wife pointed out the Double G Burger (cheddar & pepper jack cheese, bacon, fried pickles, and A-1 sauce). I heard fried pickles and was sold. It comes with fries, but I swapped them out for the onion rings. My wife went with the catfish basket. I enjoyed my burger. (Pro tip add coleslaw) They have 6 of them on the menu. I'd like to try a few more. The onion rings were legit. Nice and thick with a tasty batter. My wife really liked here choice too. The fried catfish was excellent and so was the coleslaw. The standard french fries were delicious as well. Do you know what the best part of the whole experience was? If you purchase food there you get a free ice cream cone for dessert!!! We didn't try any of the other desserts, but they also have pies and cakes (not pictured). They even serve breakfast. If you're looking to get out of town for a few hours or your traveling on I-40 this is a great place to stop for a while and chow down. I'm already looking forward to going back.

We love the catfish and chicken Fry. This is our 2nd time for us to eat here and just can't wait to get our food. Just a short drive from I-40. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

Not fantastic. This is an order at the counter restaurant with very little character. I ordered the comet burger, medium rare. It was over cooked and pretty bland but edible. I could tell the fries were hand cut, but they were lacking flavor. My daughter ordered the chicken tender basket. The chicken was very good, juicy and tender. The fries were the same as mine only less whole fries. She got a lot of little overlooked fry bits that were inedible. My other daughter got the grilled sirloin steak, medium rare. It was also overcooked, but tender and flavorful. The reviews are great and the prices are high, I expected more. We spent $16 per person for food that was only mediocre.

After some rave reviews we decided to have breakfast here. While the owners are very personable and the mall laid out very cute, they need to find an actual cook. We really wanted to like this place, but the hash browns were reconstituted freeze dried and the buttermilk pancakes were so dry I actually found dry flour still in them. I could not eat them. They gave me six slices of bacon which was a lot. So all I could really eat was the scrambled eggs and bacon. They have a great location and a good idea for this place, but the food has to be edible to draw business. Please hire a new cook you won't be sorry you did. The two stars are for the sweet owners whom my heart goes out to. read more

Tried this place out the other day while in Hinton, OK for a concert. Simple layout. The setup is like a fast food restaurant. You order at the front counter and then wait. The food was not spectacular. We will not visit agai. read more

We stopped here with the family on our way along I-40. Large open space perfect for a large get together. Great food, great staff, and connected to a little antique store which the kids loved! We had the grilled chicken and the chicken fried steak (ridiculously good and ridiculously huge!), a few of the kids meals, coffee and a cinnamon roll. Everything was great. Will definitely be going back! read more

Gloria's offers up exactly what you're after when you stop at a small town diner. The hubby and I travel quite a bit around the state to golf and one of favorite courses is Sugar Creek in Hinton. After our last outing, we were driving through town with the thought that we'd eat when we got back to OKC, but I spotted Gloria's and asked to stop and try it out - What a wonderful way to cap off my best round to date! Their menu doesn't offer much for the vegetarians, but they did have grilled cheese (thank goodness for the kids menu!), so ordered that with a baked potato, while the hubby ordered the daily special (fried shrimp with fries). We also had to try a piece of their "blue-ribbon bread pudding". All around - Super yummy! The owner obviously takes great pride in his establishment - Very clean, friendly staff, good prices and tasty food! Plus, if you're feeling up to it - The restaurant is connected to an antique store for some after eats shopping. If you're camping at Red Rock, playing Sugar Creek, or just driving through - Highly recommend swinging by Gloria's! read more

We thought it would be a good place to eat quick for burgers and fries after scenic at red rock canyon , but it wasn't. We were there 1 1/2 hours and it all was greasy and overcooked. Wasn't pleased at all. Too long to wait with kids especially and too pricey! read more

We recently ate at this place. Our food was good except for our dessert. The lady taking our order bragged they are known for their bread pudding. I made the mistake of ordering bread pudding. It was the worst bread pudding I've eaten in my life. The sauce was sickening sweet and the pudding was soggy slices of store bought bread. I absolutely couldn't eat it. The sign on the front of the café says Blue Ribbon Bread Pudding. I'd like to know who gave them that title! Our food was only good, not outstanding. I would not make a special trip to eat there. read more

When this place first opened, it was great. BUT last night we went to dinner there. Sign out front said brisket, get inside and the girl says no, we don't have brisket, but we do have ribs. So we said, ok we'll have ribs. They brought us burns ribs that were too hard to slice and greasy, cold French fries and potato salad! I asked her if they had ribs that weren't burnt. She gets the mgr and he said well I just took a brisket out of the oven....it was sliced, tough and stringy and cold! Plus the tea tasted like the container had not been cleaned in weeks. Overall, horrible experience and if I could give it less than 1 star I would! read more

We wanted a place to have lunch after a family memorial service. Judy, at Gloria's Kichen set us up with a room in advance. There is a room charge but it was definitely worth it. Judy was extremely accommodating. The food was great! Only complaint was the portion sizes were overly large. You have to save room for dessert! My husband and I shared the bread pudding. It was so delicious we got one to go! One cousin ate two different pieces of pie. The whole group of us thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Most of us hadn't seen each other for 50 years so there was a lot of table hopping and catching up to do. Judy never rushed us and saw that we had plenty of coffee, tea, and water available in the room. Great place! read more

we just had the most amazing biscuits and gravy, we're talking real biscuits made from scratch oh my gosh so so so good!!! The portions are huge. The tables and chairs are very clean (no greasy or sticky film like some dinners). Two big screen tvs, the volume not set to loud. And for those with babies, there is a changing table in the rest room, also very clean. The waitress was polite, courteous and friendly. And everything was very reasonably priced. I have traveled Oklahoma highways as a surveyor for 17 years, and finding a good breakfast can be a hit and miss adventure. I stopped in at GKs this past Saturday, and was completely surprised at what I found...I'm not a foodie, but I have I'd like to think are pretty high standards when it comes to my breakfast...I recommend their breakfast...it was quick and prepared with care....and quite good! read more
