Visited Homewood Brewing Company this past Saturday. The building is beautiful, and I liked that…read morethere is both street parking and a parking lot in the back. I originally came for brunch, but my date arrived late and brunch ended at 3:00 p.m., so we had to wait for dinner service to start at 4:00 p.m. I ordered the shrimp and grits. The presentation was nice, served in a large bowl, and the sauce was delicious. However, the portion felt small for the size of the bowl--only four shrimp and not nearly enough grits. My date ordered the same dish and felt the same way. The biggest disappointment was that the food arrived only room temperature. It seems like more and more restaurants are serving food that isn't hot, and that's frustrating. My date also ordered a bacon cheeseburger and fries. The burger came out without the fries, although they were brought out later. Overall, the experience was okay. The atmosphere and building are great, but the food temperature and portion size, left me underwhelmed. I might come back one day to try the brunch menu, but based on this visit, it's probably not a place I'd rush back to.

No frills brewery located in an industrial area…read more One staff person was working and it was packed! She was extremely friendly despite the large crowds. She worked very hard. They offer beers, some cocktails, and sodas. My one complaint is the chalkboard where they had the beers listed was a little hard to read. I didn't see any qr codes available to look at the beer list. Decent amount of tables or spots at the bar.

Fantastic changing selection of beers on draught - I opted for a 2022 Bourbon County Imperial Stout and of course that did not disappoint. They also had some Mead - had never tried that before and was pretty impressed - I had a rum flavored Mead. Huge selection of canned beers - any of which can be chilled in a matter of minutes. We were there on a Monday afternoon - the owners were working the place at that time and were knowledgeable as well as pleasant. Great place to sit down and try out a brew or two - one of the best beer bars I've ever had the pleasure of visiting.

Cool people but after 20 visits and ordering the same food, every-time still feels like a 1st time like isn't any relationship built. I've never been but I'm always looking for a new spot to try. Seemed like a pretty chill spot in Harvey. However, upon arrival on October 30th 2020 at approximately 9:45pm I went to turn into the parking lot but was immediately stopped buy the dude patrolling the lot. "Keep Moving, nigga I don't know you" He shouted. I was shocked and so was the person I was dropping off at his rude behavior. I then said I'm sorry first time here, I just want to know where can I drop off since you're blocking me from the parking lot. He again said I don't know you, you should've said that..but he still didn't let me in to drop off. So the young lady had to get out of the car at the curb and walk across the parking lot to enter. I then said.. you know I've never been here..but after that experience I told him I never will.. she said I would go back home if I wasn't meeting friends here. I come in contact with over 100 travelers a week. I love recommending nice places. Well, this won't be one of them. To top it off, when I said I wouldn't go because of his behavior..He said good. Mind you, I've never been here nor have I ever met this over zealous parking lot guy. Well he just cost you a potential customer not to mention I'll never recommend this place to anyone. Good experience people tell a few friends...bad experience people tell hundreds. Yall may wanna teach yo parking lot solider about how to teach those coming to spend money there. I dunno if he was just having a bad day, piss off about being outside in the cold or what. But with Harvey being a struggling village, this guy isn't helping the situation. I wouldn't go to this establishment...if I could give it no stars I would.
