Incredible house made ice cream and paletas, in the heart of Coyoacán. The neighborhood is beautiful and full of history. Steps from the main square, you will find Gloria. The ice cream here is gelato style, which is creamier, silkier, as well as more dense and elastic than American ice cream. They had a dozen or so interesting flavors that you will not find just anywhere.
All three flavors that we tried were delicious, my favorite being the Vino Tinto-red wine ice cream! It tasted like a smooth, sweet port wine with the perfect level of soft acidity. The Cheesecake flavor was also incredible, packed with large chunks of rich, creamy cake.
The staff were genuinely kind and helpful. My boyfriend left his wallet behind by accident, and the man working ran quite far after us to return it. We are so grateful! Great people, great ice cream. An absolute must stop in Mexico City. read more
