Everything indicated the hours they were open so we drove in from Shepherd and the place was closed up. Apparently out of business but no bother to update information. Both of us were disappointed including me for planning this and wasting a half day driving in and home again.

We came for the children's books, and I was pleased to see many selections I'd yet to see elsewhere. The prices are definitely higher than an online purchase, but you vote with your dollar, and this is one business I'm glad to support where I can! The general manager told me it's actually a book co-op, owned by share holders. It was very interesting to learn about! We will be frequenting this location when we are in the market for new books or just a relaxing cup of tea!

As a first time visitor to Billings Montana, there have been many things that have surprised me in…read morea good way and many things that have shocked me and the worst way possible. Unfortunately ThebHouse of Books & Tea would fall into the latter category. I've actually visited this bookstore three time. The first time I made a purchase, the second two times was to browse I'm hopes of purchasing and the third time was to offer my assistance volunteeringly. On my third visit I was met with hatred and prejudice and worst - judgement. It's so unfortunate given the nature of their business... selling books. I expected to find a group of creative, free thinking, intellectuals. What I discovered was a person full of hate.and emptiness. I wouldn't waste my time unless of course you are the type of individual to support this type of "thinking."

Long story short, my puppy ate the baby's car seat when my family and I were on vacation at…read moreYellowstone. Since we drove to Montana from Los Angeles, and still needed to drive back to LA, we needed a new car seat ASAP. Drove over the Beartooth Mountains into Billings and found this gem of a store. The girls who were working there were so nice. The manager, Brittany, was the best and very knowledgeable. They only had 1 convertible car seat (the Nuna Rava) but they had it available in all 3 color options. I bought it in Frost. [Note: I called Bed Bath and Beyond and they didn't have a single convertible car seat available in store! Target had a terrible selection.] I could have looked around the store for hours and bought half their stock for infant boys, but I exercised self restraint and focused on the task at hand. I will for sure end up buying stuff off their website because they carry the cutest, high quality merchandise! I really wish there was a store like this in LA.

They're helpful, knowledgeable, and can order something you need that isn't in stock. That's likely not going to happen, because they have nearly everything. Stop in and indulge yourself.

It's a great store, filled (although I'd call it "crammed") with kids clothing, toys, books and shoes for infants and small children. Things are sorted by size but if you're overwhelmed when you stop in, a helpful employee will ask some questions and then either take you or point you to the right area. Once you figure things out, you'll quickly realize the store is incredibly organized and remarkably clean considering the volume of clothing. Immediately as you enter are the seasonal items, on this visit. the holiday colors and outfits for babies and toddlers. Precious Seconds is a thrift store, although the prices are only slightly less than retail -- at least on some items. The toys and books are in good condition, some only slightly worn. While there are clothes for the expectant parent, including some gorgeous dresses, that isn't the focus. It's the clothes and shoes that bring them in. Everything I looked at was in almost-new condition. As do all thrift stores, this place will allow you to bring things in for store credit, and that can help toward lowering costs on clothing for which prices can rival that of adult clothes considering the short period of time they can be worn
