Although I appreciate the original staff, I will say some of the new staff members do have the same energy and positive attitudes as the original. The one who helped me a few days ago was very apologetic and nice through the entire process. I don't know her name since she's new, but she restored the store's integrity for me. Although I will most likely come back for future businesses, I will 100% be looking inside who is working first. I'd like to keep a positive vibe when buying, so I'd prefer having great service from those I know have positive energy and mindset. Because who wants to go to a place with great quality, high prices, but low customer service. Right? However, I shouldn't let a few rotten apples ruin the entire group. Right? I look forward to continuing business with the girls from SLS.

Over the last few weeks of operation, the selection was limited at best. Service was always hit or miss and it felt like there were new people every time I came into the shop. I wanted to patronize this place because it's in my neighborhood and the only black owned dispensary in DC, but after comparing to others in the city since their abrupt closing, the value just isn't there in both selection and pricing. I arrived at 6:15 PM -- 45 minutes before the stated closing time -- and the building is completely locked, lights off, and no one answering the phone. It's extremely unprofessional and honestly embarrassing when black owned businesses operate this way. People plan their schedules around posted business hours. Some of us leave work early, sit in traffic, rearrange obligations -- all based on the basic expectation that a business will be open when it says it's open. To show up to a dark, locked building with zero explanation is frustrating and disrespectful of customers' time. If the hours have changed, update them. If the business closed early for a reason, communicate it. A simple sign on the door or an updated voicemail would have shown a *baseline* level of professionalism. Instead, there was nothing. Reliability is the bare minimum. Unfortunately, this experience showed a complete lack of it.
