Some of us leave work early, sit in traffic, rearrange obligations -- all based on the basic expectation that a business will be open when it says it's open. To show up to a dark, locked building with zero explanation is frustrating and disrespectful of customers' time. If the hours have changed, update them. If the business closed early for a reason, communicate it. A simple sign on the door or an updated voicemail would have shown a *baseline* level of professionalism. Instead, there was nothing.
