The classrooms are well-equipped, and the teacher-student ratio is low. The Director Ms Jill, the Assistant Director Miss Lauren and the teachers are very knowledgeable and patient in interacting with the parents and the kids. They are very understanding, and they always try their best to accommodate the parents' requests or the kids' needs. It's a great place for busy parents to send their kids there and have a peace of mind. Both of my kids have gained a lot from these wonderful teachers. They enjoy their learning experiences through fun activities, arts & crafts, singing and dancing. Miss Victoria, early pre-school teacher, is very involved in her students' developments. When my daughter was in her 2-year-old class, she also developed her various skills dramatically from Ms Tanya, Ms Jennifer, and Ms Sarah. My toddler son is speaking over 40 words already. He is following instructions, and he is starting to learn colors and alphabets already! Thanks to Miss Kendall and Miss Katherine! Miss Katherine is a very talented teacher! When my son was in the infant and transition room, I was very satisfied with the services that the teachers provided as well. I love their teacher-parent conference. The detailed evaluation allows me to understand the growth of my kids even more. It would be a good idea for the school to conduct this type of communication more often. I am not sure about the other La Petite Academy locations, but I highly recommend this particular La Petite in Viera, FL.

The playground area is nice and its nice they get out and have a view of the pond and visiting wildlife. NEGATIVES: The bathrooms have poor lighting and ventilation-the smell of the toilets hits you in the face. I realize that its hard to keep a bathroom clean all day with that many small children who are potty training or not as clean, but still. It's AWFUL. The children (boys) seem extremely rough and aggressive towards one another. Some of this may be age related (or excitement at the start of the day) but it's unsettling to see when you are about to drop off your child. Some sort of daily progress sheet would be nice for parents to have so they know how the day went especially if your child is younger and can't communicate all the parts of the day. Parents shouldn't have to hunt around the building in six different places to know what they ate for lunch, what they worked on, if they napped, if they ate or went to the bathroom or to get a monthly newsletter. . The teachers are available, they say, but when we pick up our child, the teachers may be busy supervising the playground or reading to a group, which then it doesn't become an opportunity to find these things out.

I love how clean the school is and the app they use to keep parents informed of the child's day and the schedule. The playground is nice and the teachers were super sweet and loving towards my daughter. With that being said, I do have a huge issue with their biting policy. In a course of less than 5 weeks my child was bitten 4 times (2 times in 1 morning) . My child has never bitten a child and 3 of these bites were unprovoked and one she was reaching for another child's snack. According to their policy they are not able to tell me if the same child bit her . After the second bite, I had a conversation with the front desk staff about what steps are being taken to help address the situation. I was given the generic " it's part of that ages behavior " and the bitters parents are aware of the situation. There are " behavior action plans in place". No specific details given to me at this time. After the 3rd and 4th bite I learned more information about the action plan and that provoked or unprovoked biting didn't have any different consequences. There is not a certain number of bites that would unenroll a child, they will just work on adjusting the biters behavior. I find this highly unacceptable. They keep it so hush hush that I have no idea how many times the bitter has bitten other kids. It could be 10 times and they are still in the classroom. Now ask yourself if you, as a parent, feel comfortable dropping your kid off with a child that is known to have bitten multiple kids for no reason. In their policy it says they will have a one on one person with the child to watch them and correct the behavior and this has not been done. I find the way that the administrators are handling this is unacceptable and negligent. I called corporate and was told that each school makes their own rules when it comes to biting. Goddard, you have much room for improvement to keep kids safe. Due to the unsafe environment I was forced to pull my child from school and find another daycare while the bitter or bitters stay in the school hurting other children. DO BETTER!

His teachers have been nothing but nurturing, compassionate and loving to not only him but myself. Admin is quick and easy to communicate with and with the security of the facility I know he's always safe. He loves the gym, playground and the track they get to play in daily as well. The facility is beautiful but was very cheaply build and is falling apart, kids are PACKED into classrooms (22 two year olds with just two teachers all stuffed into one room), and the teachers are inexperienced, overworked, and overwhelmed. They post a lot on social media but it's all a show; for example last Christmas the kids made gingerbread houses and the director of education then took them apart and rebuild them to look nicer on Facebook. It's all a façade.

Best daycare in Viera!…read more We've been to Viera Children's Academy, Rockledge Montessori, Cross Bridge Learning Center, and Global Learning, so trust me when I say this is the best one, hands down! Lots of reading, art, and playing for all of the kids. Also lots of attention - they really get to know your children and it shows. The staff is top notch. They not only get to know your kids but also the parents! The director is amazing - very sharp and quick to take action. Lots of family activities offered including parenting classes, parents day or nights out, and weekend events. The facility is clean and new. My kids are in great hands here - we love it!

The teachers are great and truly dedicated to helping guide the kids toward learning opportunities and making them interested in learning. The school does go a bit off the Montessori plan by having some testing and homework, BUT having grown up attending a Montessori school I think this is something that they should all do anyway to help prepare kids for more standardized school systems, so I am in favor of it. Obviously, parents are parents and can be quite positive or negative (and very vocal) about their experience at school. The previous reviews were left for the previous school, which totally changed about three and a half years ago. The lady who owns the school now truly cares about the place, ranging from new facilities to new materials. Honestly, this school is one of the things that is keeping us in the Melbourne area...the teachers, the students, the other parents...everything is exactly what we want for our kids during these pre-K through elementary years.
