My wife;e name is Autumn, and her birthday is in October, so Chef Tea just threw together this gorgeously​ themed cake with little instruction, and the price was honestly less than a few lattes at Starbucks​. She will DEFINITELY have my patronage in future events. One more ​thing: My wife is allergic to eggs. After experiencing their incredible food and desserts multiple times, we were hooked. We have used their catering for holiday meals 5-6 times (maybe more...I've lost count). Started when we had family in town and didn't want to cook. Was so good, we started having them make our Thanksgiving dinner even when family wasn't coming in town! They are that good!! Love their lunches at the market! Asian fried chicken last week was awesome! (I heard jerk chicken and more are coming this season!) Teisha's lemonades are a given every week too! (Jamaican pineapple ginger lemonade is our favorite so far!) Chef Tea's desserts are second to none!! She has made multiple, VERY special (and tasty!) birthday cakes for our kids over the past few years! We rarely leave the farmer's market without several delicious desserts from Chef Tea. She always has something different every week and you can't go wrong not matter what you choose! She did apologize and said she would make the cupcakes again for the date I ordered them for as an apology...??? Having kids and guests there I kept my cool and was like ok whatever. The cupcakes were dry and I could barely swallow and had to use milk to get it down-perhaps overcooked I'm not sure. The only positive note was they looked cute. My husband had to run out during the birthday party and buy another cake from Giant to feed all the kids. I messaged Jamie to let her know I don't want those cupcakes Wednesday as they were just awful, they looked pretty but dry...I requested a refund as I didn't receive what I ordered. Jamie has refused and therefore I'm in process of disputing. I gave Jamie all the opportunity to refund as I didn't want to make public. This has truly upset my kid. I promised her this beautiful 2 tiered cake for her first really big birthday party and Jamie failed to deliver but wants to keep $110 for "cost of ingredients"...this is very poor customer service, complete negligence, and it's best that you get your cake elsewhere.

I…read morehad looked at several other bakeries in the area and they all had that gritty taste to them (I know you know what I mean). Debbie's cakes are AMAZING! She has a tasting once a month where she bakes about 8 sample cakes with all different flavors and icing types. Check out her website for all the different flavors she offers -- quite extensive! Debbie is great, I pretty much had her one on one for my first tasting, a few other brides showed up close to when I was leaving (she does an open house style). She has photo albums full of different cakes shes done to give you ideas for what you want (and also so you can see what an awesome decorating job she does!). I love spice cake and her assistant suggested since we were having a fall wedding that an apple filling would be good, so she at the next months open house she made one just so I could try it! If you have specific flavors you want to try, just let her know before hand and she's great about having them for you. I had a small three tiered (well, small is relative I guess) "cherry blossom" cake. She used butter cream frosting to cover, had ribbons around each level and then had fondant to create branches and blossoms of the cherry blossom, it was beautiful. Each layer was different flavors and because my cake was "odd" shaped (octagonal) and didn't have a true anniversary tier, she made us a separate 6" round -- completely different flavor too! -- on the house. The cake is moist and the frosting and fillings are delicious. She uses fresh ingredients whenever possible. My bottom layer was wedding white cake with strawberry filling and there was real strawberries. The second tier was spice cake with the yummy apple filling and then the top was a red velvet with cream cheese. She worked with me every step of the way to make sure that the cake was just perfect. I recommend her to everyone, for wedding, for special occasions, JUST BECAUSE!! I wish I lived closer to her so I could have her cake at least once a year. As for now, I'm looking forward to the anniversary tier, which she gives specific instructions for to make sure it keeps!
