This was the first time he needed cavities treated, which felt overwhelming as a parent because unfamiliar environments, people, and equipment can be especially difficult for autistic children. Dr. Chris was incredibly calm, patient, and compassionate. He met our son where he was, spoke to him in a gentle and reassuring way, and used playful interactions to help him feel safe and comfortable. Because of that support, our son was even able to tolerate an X-ray, which was a huge milestone. We love the TV screen with cartoons on the ceiling which engages kids quite well! I was also very nervous about the anesthesia, but Dr. Chris was so understanding and reassuring throughout the process. His experience with autistic children truly shows, and it made all the difference for our family. We highly recommend him.

During our last appointment this same dentist performed our exam. Again, zero introduction. He walks in the room and asks my 9 year old "what questions do you have for me?" Not sure how a 9 year old would respond. My son is super proud of not having any cavities but this dentist only provided negative feedback, commenting on something my son might be missing. After that appointment, I called the office to provide feedback, and they assured me that the next appointment would be with Dr Patterson. Fast forward 6 months and I get the reminder for our appointment in a couple of days which states that our appointment is with the dentist we do not prefer. I call the office about this, and the staff member begins throwing out new times that do not work for children in school. I ask if I can have someone call me back so I can understand how our original request wasn't honored and she stated that she could "try to have Tara call me back." Unfortunate that this was our experience. I recommend proactive communication when deciding to switch patients' providers to they can make informed decisions regarding their care. We won't return.

I looked down to see blood gushing everywhere and his front tooth sticking out at a precarious angle. Why do these things ONLY happen after business hours??! I was so grateful when Dr. Hayutin picked up the phone (after the first 5 googled "emergency pediatric dentists" did not). Despite the late hour and us being an additional 45 min drive away, he amazingly agreed to meet us back at his office!! There was a $100 after hours fee which I thought was very reasonable! My relief was curtailed during the drive when I started worrying about having done zero research on him and not knowing the area his office was located in at all! But I was put at ease when Dr. Hayutin greeted me. He was very friendly, patient, and just had a great bedside manner! His office was clean and inviting with fun stars and shapes to distract my son. He ended up having to pull my son's tooth out (which we were expecting). Dr. Hayutin was efficient, professional, and provided us with clear expectations/explanations/and follow-up care (including a phone call in the morning to check-in!) We are only in Denver temporarily, but if we have any more dental needs while we are here, we will absolutely be going back to Dr. Hayutin!!! We feel incredibly lucky we ended up in his office for this experience!!

I called and left messages w/multiple dentists but all were closed due to the holiday. We thought we had a long and painful weekend ahead of us, until doctor David Hayutin called us back and offered to see our son on an emergency basis! He ended up having to remove an abcessed baby tooth, and was so kind and caring the entire time! He even went so far as to try to not charge me the $100 after hours fee (which I made him charge for his troubles!) Great doctor and a great person! Bring your kids to him! He took time out of his Christmas Eve to help my son!

My kiddo had been going to Sunrise since her very first visit and had really grown to love…read moreeverybody there. She looked forward to her appointments after years of building trust and familiarity and unfortunately, we have to start that process all over somewhere else in the middle of Covid. Covid has made it hard for everybody and sometimes the unexpected happens but this email is mildly heartbreaking if you're the ones on the chopping block. Just as it states, Their facility is so beautiful, the Dental team is amazing and caring, and they take the latest and greatest approach to pediatric dentistry. All of that is true and if you're not one of the Medicaid patients you'll continue to receive nothing but the very best. That commitment to treat and care for every patient as she would her own child is just going to be for non-medicaid patients. If you can afford to bring your child here then do because they are wonderful. If I could afford to pay out of pocket I would in a heartbeat. I'd have loved to keep my little one here but this email is so unfortunate. It was not written with the thought of how excluded this would make Medicaid families feel. Yes, we are a low-income family but we are every bit as deserving of the amazing care Sunrise describes in this email and will provide to non-Medicaid families. There was a much better way to word this and go about this change in general and that's what's really disappointing. I told my daughter that Dr. Crespi stopped being a dentist altogether rather than explain that she's just not going to be her dentist anymore and she was still upset. Hopefully, we'll be able to find somewhere just as wonderful for low-income families.

If you're looking for the best pediatric dentist around, stop searching, Dr. Nguyen is it. I've…read morenever seen a dentist who works harder for the true long-term health of a patient. He doesn't sugarcoat anything (which, let's be honest, is refreshing in a dentist). You get the real story about what's going on, why it matters, and what needs to happen--no fear tactics, no sales pitch. What really sets him apart is how he balances that honesty with how calm and reassuring he is with parents, while also thinking way outside the box when it comes to solving dental issues for kids. Some of his approaches may challenge conventional thinking--and yes, that might rub a few people the wrong way--but it's clear everything he does comes from a place of genuine care and deep expertise. He's kind, thoughtful, and focused on outcomes, not optics. I recommend him wholeheartedly and without hesitation. If you want someone who actually cares more about your child's health than being "pleasant," Dr. Nguyen is your guy.

She was amazing, contacted the insurance company and requested a summary of benefits so she could review it and try to figure out an estimate for us! When we arrived she had everything ready for us, we were called back very quickly and met with Dr. Nguyen who went over the process to include our options. The Doctor was very patient with us as parents and with our son, total time was a little under an hour for the extraction. I am not sure where the negative reviews come from, the Doctor is honest and straightforward which should be a positive, it may be as parents we are just very anxious for our children so the situation is already high stress soon as you walk in. Our son is showing no signs of extreme stress or pain, he is running around happy showing everyone where his tooth is gone! In summary, this place was great and just need to keep in mind its going to be difficult no matter where you go when you have to hold your kids hand when they are distressed.
