They are super respectful, have a huge variety of framing options, all reasonable pricing, fantastic work - and most importantly do high quality work with high quality materials. Best I've seen and used throughout the Monterey area. I'd like to give thanks to the people at this wonderful establishment. I took my grandfather's painting in to have a new frame put on it and the man who helped me (I wish I had asked his name) gave me excellent customer service! He helped me choose a pre-made frame and had it all ready in 20 minutes! It looks fantastic. He also touched up a tiny scratch. I met the owner and he was very friendly and had the two cutest dogs. I'd also like to mention that I went in about a month ago with another of my Grampa's paintings that had come loose from its frame. He took it in the back and reattached it for me at no charge! We worked with Evan, who was so helpful and knowledgeable! We brought some photos of our home, and the of the space we intend for the new frames- he talked through all of it with us, helped us understand the difference museum glass would make (MAJOR difference!), talked us through matting, pricing, etc. And they had So many frame options from which to choose! Great experience today--probably saved me $1,000. Owner recommended 3 standard sized frames that looked stunning on my paintings. This place is amazing, and will be our go to spot for framing! We originally went to Monterey Custom Framing, and were extremely disappointed. After spending an hour in the store, pulling frame samples, we were told that the majority of them were out of stock, and that the ones that were in stock were going to cost us well over $1200 to frame, not including labor fees. We were told to "save up some money" and come back when we could afford an expensive frame. Rude to say the least, and we left feeling discouraged. We immediately drove over to Glenn Gobel Custom Frames in PG and what a different experience!! We were helped immediately and told that we would definitely be able to find a frame for well under $1000. We ended up spending half the amount, and were able to find a beautiful frame. High quality, in stock, and affordable. If you are looking to get art framed, go to Glenn Gobel! So worth it!! read more
