Glenn Gobel Custom Frames - Inside - Framing Near Me - Pacific Grove, California

Glenn is an artist and brings that knowledge and ability to framing. The very best there is. Highly, highly, highly recommended!

These guys are awesome. They are super respectful, have a huge variety of framing options, all reasonable pricing, fantastic work - and most importantly do high quality work with high quality materials. Best I've seen and used throughout the Monterey area. Been to a handful of framing stores, and they're all are ok (except Monterey Custom Framing, avoid them), but Glenn Gobel is by far the best. 5 out of 5 stars!! *here's my painting that my wife and I got on our honeymoon in Bali, Indonesia! They had it in the front of the shop for me to pick up, they did a killer job! read more

In Jan. 2025, I had the man cut a photo matting size about a 14" X 24", for an old picture frame I had. I installed myself. He charged me $80.00. Price gouging is bad business. read more

I placed an order for a new frame for my painting on January 18th and received it on March 8th, which took 7 weeks. My order was expedited only after I visited the store in person to complain twice. read more

Came here because the reviews were so good. Store is very clean and has an extremely large selection. Two sales guys, plus the owner all on the floor. Huge plus! Wonderful customer service and I left very happy.. I spent a lot more than I was looking to spend and I am awaiting the final product. Definitely an update to my review once I receive my three framed.Items I brought in. I am happy to have found this frame shop. read more

I'd like to give thanks to the people at this wonderful establishment. I took my grandfather's painting in to have a new frame put on it and the man who helped me (I wish I had asked his name) gave me excellent customer service! He helped me choose a pre-made frame and had it all ready in 20 minutes! It looks fantastic. He also touched up a tiny scratch. I met the owner and he was very friendly and had the two cutest dogs. I'd also like to mention that I went in about a month ago with another of my Grampa's paintings that had come loose from its frame. He took it in the back and reattached it for me at no charge! Very generous! I appreciate good service and believe in pointing it out. Thanks guys. I couldn't be happier. read more

5 stars does not do Glenn Gobel Custom Frames justice. I just picked up my second piece of art that I entrusted them to frame/preserve for me. And to say I'm overjoyed is such an understatement... Let's face it, framing is not only protection for your art, but also an art in and of itself. For that reason, I will only trust Glenn Gobel Custom Frames with my framing needs. I'm a super picky customer and Glenn, Evan and Duke have gone above and beyond expectations to keep me coming back for more. This latest piece presented somewhat of a challenge - as the frame material I specified was not easy to work with. I can guarantee you that nobody else on the peninsula would have been able to achieve what Glenn and gang were able to do for me. When the results matter, don't trust anybody else with your framing needs. Thank you Glenn, Evan and Duke - always a pleasure working with such talented people! read more

Glenn Gobel Custom Frames - Terrible lighting. Will upload new photo once the piece is lit correctly. - Framing Near Me - Pacific Grove, California

My husband and I are new to the area, and returned from a recent vacation with some photographs to frame. After doing some research on Yelp, we decided to check out Glenn Gobel. We worked with Evan, who was so helpful and knowledgeable! We brought some photos of our home, and the of the space we intend for the new frames- he talked through all of it with us, helped us understand the difference museum glass would make (MAJOR difference!), talked us through matting, pricing, etc. And they had So many frame options from which to choose! I would definitely recommend this shop, and already suggested Glenn Gobel to my mother in law. read more

Great experience today--probably saved me $1,000. Owner recommended 3 standard sized frames that looked stunning on my paintings. Within 30 minutes, the were mounted to these reasonably priced frames and I was taking them home. With volume discount on my purchase. I also have some custom frames being prepped there. Just very customer-oriented mindset. read more

What professionals they are. I had taken a framed print apart to get a better photo (without glare) and then couldn't put it all back together again. I was helped right away and the price was right. Such wonderful customer service. They know how import works of art are to their customers---sometimes family momentos with personal value and others with high market value. High five to GG Custom Frames. THank you! read more

I've taken in various larger projects over the years and had perfect quality and great service. I also recently needed two small mats created quickly and they provided them at a very fair price and right while I waited. They are the best. read more

This place is amazing, and will be our go to spot for framing! We originally went to Monterey Custom Framing, and were extremely disappointed. After spending an hour in the store, pulling frame samples, we were told that the majority of them were out of stock, and that the ones that were in stock were going to cost us well over $1200 to frame, not including labor fees. We were told to "save up some money" and come back when we could afford an expensive frame. Rude to say the least, and we left feeling discouraged. We immediately drove over to Glenn Gobel Custom Frames in PG and what a different experience!! We were helped immediately and told that we would definitely be able to find a frame for well under $1000. We ended up spending half the amount, and were able to find a beautiful frame. High quality, in stock, and affordable. If you are looking to get art framed, go to Glenn Gobel! So worth it!! read more

My first visit today to get one of my new watercolors framed. Ian was very knowledgeable and helped me with best look to show the art. I am so happy to have Glenn Gobel Custom Frames in my neighborhood. When an artist leaves off on of their "babies" for custom framing it is really important to have comfort that the piece will be gently handled and cared for....this is the place for my art for sure. It doesn't matter how small the job or how complex the request. I have found that Glenn, Eric, Lucas and Evan will go above and beyond my expectations every time in superior service and meticulous attention to detail. I just had to write this review becasue they have once more figured out how to solve a problem I had in framing a series of broadsides and the results were fantastic and it was truly reasonable. I have never been dissapointed in all the years I have used their service. Quality materials and great suggestions have made my art sing! So grateful we have them in our community. read more

The mark of a worthy business is how much attention they give to the "little people." I have brought in two small framing projects to Glenn, neither over $200, but each time he gave me prompt, personal, careful attention as though I was requesting a gallery-quality frame for a priceless work of art instead of just "something simple." Glenn treats each project with the passion of an artist/craftsman (not just a salesman), and each customer as a memorable neighbor. The value you save is the value you receive, and the experience here is truly value-able. Thanks, Glenn! read more
