I felt like not only did they do an amazing job with my checks (PAP, Breast Exam and IUD removal) but they do their best to impart knowledge as to the process, and what you can expect after procedures. Dr Wong, the clinic owner is incredible, I will definitely go back. I only wish more doctors took this patient-forward approach. Many times at other clinics, I've felt like a number on a production line, I felt like as soon as the doctor walks into a consult they are already trying to get rid of you. So glad I found this clinic!

I received a letter from Alberta Cervical Cancer screening program this week stating everything is OK! For someone who has received treatment for Cervical Cancer, this is so important. She had booked an appointment at this clinic in advance and to my surprise, was able to see someone within a few weeks. Upon arrival, my client checked in and we waited. I spotted a sign on the wall that encourages patients to notify front reception if they've waited for more than 30min. I'm glad they have this sign because after waiting this long, at least my client felt justified to complain. I watched everyone else in the waiting room come and go, so I'm not sure what happened there. I liked that music was playing and there are nice photos of some of the physicians on display. I sat in on part of the meeting between my client and the doctor, who was rather lovely. She was soft spoken and friendly. To my surprise, the doctor informed us that the clinic does not provide referrals. My client had specifically asked that question on the phone when booking the appointment and she was told otherwise. At least my client was able to get some important tests done and felt good afterward about being able to express her concerns without being brushed off.

Some background- our family was originally put into the shared care program as there was no MP available to take new clients. No problem. However, when my child grew older , I wanted him to have a regular doctor . So I approached the clinic many times about this and finally , this Dr. Kaler took our family as clients ( she jumped on the opportunity to take more clients ) . Everytime we go see her for my child, if we ask one extra question that is unrelated to what we went in for , she will ask us to book another appointment . She always seems distracted and doesn't seem to be actively listening to anything we say , we have to keep reminding her. Last month I went in for a check up , and she was one hour late . She came in , laughing , saying lunch took longer today. Seriously? My time is not worth anything then ? Yesterday I went in for a check up on my persistent coughing . She gave me some antibiotics and was very unfriendly (maybe I was wasting her time ) . I just went to the pharmacy , and the manager there refused to prescribe me the antibiotics as they were not supposed to be used for sinus infection ! Also, this type of antibiotics apparently had lots of side effects and most doctors do not prescribe them any longer . I am still waiting for the clinic or doctor to call me back with a new prescription ! This is extremely unprofessional and I cringe to think what could happen if I was alot sicker or that the meds were for my child. Needless to say , I am thankful that at least the pharmacist was doing her job. Will be changing doctors !!

My first doctor when I moved back was Sharona Koeler/Supernault of which I have read the worst possible reviews, all from women patients. My experience with her instead, has been very positive. I think some patients are too impatient and have the ability to make any doctor uncomfortable to deal with them. Years ago, my wife went through a terrible period dealing with cancer, she was referred to a surgeon who was described as very good but with a bad attitude with patients. Our experience with him was the best possible in a situation like that. He was very gentle, caring and very well mannered. I think doctors, like every other human beings, are rude with people who deserve to be treated rudely. Next to doctor Koeler, who moved to another clinic, I am being followed by doctor Megan Hurley while I am having some health troubles. She has been since the first visit, even if I wasn't a patient of hers, very caring, willing to listen and to explain, excellent in remembering my problems, following up with test results and further investigations and helpful in finding solutions to facilitate further tests. Last but not least, she is not afraid to smile, and sometimes a smile is already a good medicine. Exactly what every family doctor should be. I have had some horrifying experiences with anesthetic over the years but he listened and restored my faith in anesthesiologists. Being personable doesn't mean much if the staff aren't competent and caring where it counts. I will be forever grateful that Dr. Rothwell was my surgeon. She pushed botox on me for a headache related to a car-accident instead of ordering a CT or an MRI. How did this doctor even get her PHD? Her Partner Dr.Taminen also gave me test results for a DIFFERENT PATIENT and blamed me for their mistake!! DO NOT GO TO THIS DOCTOR! TOTAL FRAUD!!
