Our student rides the…read morelight rail daily and has witnessed several unsavory incidents (use of marijuana on trains, fights on platforms, arguments on trains). He reported that he occasionally sees the transit officer about once every 2 days. We are thankful that we have this mode of transportation. However, as the transit officer explained to us that he cannot be everywhere. He kindly instructed us on how to report incidences as they are occurring. We hope that METRO Light Rail will increase their staff to monitor for safety.

We've dealt with the construction, disruption, road closures and dust in our nearby neighborhoods on the trail of the light rail and it's now over. The ride is sweet and complete! It us really nice. The work was done well and the street us nice newly paved and landscaped. The public art for each station designed by local artists or kids. This station has some nice metalwork and tapestry-like murals in the pathway. These were done by a local artist. So good to have some public transportation close to our home which is fast and reliable. A wonderfully green alternative to driving and parking. It's now nice to be on the trail if the light rail!

One of the transit cops helped us out. Instead of inserting the card chip first, you need to reverse it. Once we had that figured out, it was all downhill from there. The transit cops are on some routes but it's hit and miss. We have ridden for free on occasion. But that was before we understood how to actually purchase a ticket.
