Every teacher and staff member in this place, including the principal, are rock stars. I have a kid that needs additional interventions to catch up, and another that is moving well beyond his grade level, and they are both supported educationally with care and professionalism. School counseling support is excellent. It is insanely diverse in every way shape and form, and no matter who you are or where you come from, you will be welcomed into the community here. It is a public school, so it lends itself to the general struggles of public schools everywhere, but I wouldn't want my kids anywhere else. It is a lottery school, so you can lottery in from the outskirts.

I researched all other top private schools in the area, only to realize that Linden's Staff and Teacher's are a notch above the rest. They are trailblazers with their unique Curriculum, Culture and Philosophy. I can say this because every person who chooses to work at this school has only love in their hearts for inspiring children to become the best version of themselves in this wonderful environment. We are fortunate, feeling blessed to be able to have our child attend. The Waldorf methodology has been in practice for over 100 years and throughout the entirety of the globe. It's both time-tested and more relevant than ever to preparing our children for the unknown landscape ahead. The positive feeling from when you enter this incredible campus runs deep. You will be filled with optimism for your child's future. I highly suggest applying early to not have your child miss out on a once in a lifetime experience. Linden Waldorf is a very special place with the ability to take what's known now and shape new possibilities for the future.

'Nuff said. -Our grades teachers being seriously so fun, authentic and committed to both of my children's development in their time. Coming from another waldorf school it differed in the approach to academics, especially because where we were was K-12 and Linden is K-8. My kid got his butt served in the Academic area but the teachers worked with him closely to get him up to par and now he's excelling. -Not once has a teacher or admin not heard out my request or concern without action and/or empathy. -My middle schooler having some crazy great relationships with his teacher, like asking me to have them for dinner. -Strings Program has changed my Son's life. These relationships support my family to thrive in so many ways. I appreciate the efforts of the school in these seriously challenging times. I'll say, it's not utopia and it's not perfect but when I got up in there and reached out, did my part many came to meet me there. I think I'll stop there.

TL;DR: don't send your kid here if you want them to hate themself, unless they are a... minority?…read more Horrible. This school has made me hate myself, and I'm surrounded by bad kids all the time. I'm a student here, and so many things are wrong with this school. For example, the Muslims are put above everyone else at the school, the "pepperoni" isn't even real pepperoni and tastes bland. All of the kids are always screaming, getting mad at each other, fighting, and bullying. It's horrible for me in the classroom. oh and also last year, we had to read a book last year that made me feel uncomfortable. It may be the education board for that, but regardless it still has. The same happened for this year. Also, they once forced us to sit outside in the sweltering heat for a soccer game some of us didn't even care about, which I am pretty sure against the law. Talking about against the law, they have cameras in the bathroom! That's a violation of privacy! This school is a very bad place to send a person of this type to as well: White (this is real). Christian (this is also real). Autistic/Neurodivergent Easily bullied I hope I'll never see this school again!

There will be several review…read moreupdates and I hope to give every interested party a more clear picture of what to expect. Student's Perspective - Culture: After being an educator for over 10 years, I have yet to meet a student who genuinely loves school. Many students love different aspects of school, but for a student to choose school over any other activity, the school would have to be extremely amazing or extremely laissez-faire. There is no doubt in my mind that if you send your child to this school, they will be successful if they follow the regimen to the letter. However, school for students can start as early as 7:00 am, if parents drop off their child early but no later than 7:40. As soon as they get into their advisory class (1st PD), the early arrival kids will begin working on a journal topic of sorts while they wait for the rest of the class to arrive. 3 days out of the week, advisory is used to have meetings around school culture with students, turning every student into a law abiding citizen, for the most part, and drastically reducing anxiety for everyone of them. Students rarely experience bullying, inequality, or unfairness from anybody at this school. They are heavily monitored and the expectation is for them to be quiet in the classroom, the hallways, and in other general settings while meetings are taking place. Where as for other public schools this might be just an expectation, the teachers and leadership team do a large amount of training to ensure that the expectation is enforced. If you've never been at this school while in session, it's impressive alone just seeing everyone move from class to class. One of the few things that students do get anxiety about, though, is the way the restroom is handled for them. They are only allowed to go during the first ten minutes of every class period. If they miss that time block to ask for permission, they aren't allowed to go. There is a system in place in case of emergencies, but too often I've requested someone to come relieve one of my students to go to the restroom after the reserved block and I don't get a response, so the child sits there holding it in. It has gotten better, but it's disheartening to see. The idea behind this is, child safety, protection of school property, and equity of a learning experience for all. Let me know what other aspects of this school you are interested in hearing about. I will try to remain as impartial as I possibly can.
