After resetting the furnace 3 times and changing the batteries in my thermostat, I had no choice but to call for an emergency service call. I called my furnace repair service that I'd used for 6 years. After explaining I had no heat, the on-call representative gave me the 3rd degree...Are you a customer? What brand? How old is the furnace? Who installed it? Then he told me he'd call me back. 20 minutes later he called to inform me that all their techs were out of town. My options were to wait a day or two for an available tech or call another company. It was minus 20 degrees Celsius!!! My house was sitting at 11 degrees!! I called David Murray and explained my dilemma. Brad at David Murray said he'd be very happy to help me out and would appreciate my business. Ted was on site shortly thereafter and had my house warm and toasty in no time and the cost was more than reasonable. AWESOME! I would not recommend this company. They cancelled 3 times over six weeks and then showed up when…read morethey weren't supposed to. When they serviced my furnace, the technician said it was deficient and that it either had to be repaired or replaced. A B tag was put on it and Embridge gas was contacted. That means I had 90 days to fix the furnace or the gas would be shut off in our house. The repair bill oddly was more expensive than to replace which is quite odd. Repair was 7000. Replace was 5000. Who would you choose to repair when they can get a new one for cheaper? I decided to get a second opinion and the registered technician said it was a scam and the furnace did not need to be replaced or fixed. He had the B tag removed. He also said the quote for the repair was way above what it should be.

I just happened upon a weekly deal site offering a special on this very service from Dependable Duct Cleaning. "Curtis" came to my house to get things started. He explained what the service included, what it entails, and what he needed to facilitate the job, which I really appreciated. He had everything he needed in his van, including what can only be described as a large industrial sized vacuum hose. Curtis was very nice, came in and did the job quickly and efficiently. He even wore covers for his shoes so as not to dirty the floors. The only thing Curtis did not prepare me for was that the industrial sized vacuum was going to make a lot of noise! Pricing was based on how many vents are in the house, so I found it to be fair. My deal included a certain number of vents, and any others were charged as extra. Overall found the experience quick and painless, Curtis was informative and courteous, and the pricing better than others offering the same service.
