Drive thru is painfully slow. Waited in line for 30-45 minutes for a pickup that I preordered. Stop checking points at the window, and any "issues" should be dealt with inside. The wait here should be about the same as a bank drive through. read more

AVOID this location at all costs... This location never answers the phone despite always having multiple staff members appearing to just be standing around and chatting, obviously more interested in their own conversations than they are with the care of the patients choosing to visit a MEDICAL dispensary. Left numerous messages and waited 6 hours for a response and never got one call back to a question pertaining to my order as well as general questions as a first time patient visiting this location specifically. Things such as the pick up process, how to use the drive thru (ie is it pickup orders only or can you place orders in the drive thru/cash or card accepted etc.) When I arrived to pick up my order, I politely mentioned to the woman working the front desk that I had a question and had been trying to call multiple times earlier as well as left several messages, in hopes she could answer my questions now before entering the the doors to the pick up area-- she responded with a heavy exhale and said only "you can go through" pointing to the doors. A separate time, again no one would answer the phone or return messages about my order I had placed-- arrived & got in the drive thru line as I had shopped here prior and had placed a pick up order-- I waited 45minutes in line to reach the window (my only option as I had my dog with me) only to be told at the window they didn't have any record of me ever ordering or coming to this location/not registered as a patient, but I could park and come inside as a walk in, but not dogs allowed inside... Which all could have been avoided if someone just answer a call or returned one... I had just been here a week prior and also had an awful experience that time as well. The staff should spend a week at Cannabist in Carytown, maybe then they would learn to appreciate their job or at the minimum not be rude to the customers/PATIENTS-- medical patients-- YOU SELL WEED LEGALLY AS A JOB, WHY ARE YOU MAD AT WORK?!? I'm not asking for even a super bubbly fun atmosphere that was encouraging to ask about products, sales going on, anything to make me feel as a patient and paying customer, like an annoyance and a burden for just coming in for a pick up order. This place is not patient friendly, I would be afraid to see what treatment would be received if you actually asked a question to anyone employees here as I have felt like a complete burden every time & friends have told me I'm not alone in that experience. I only ever travel farther to come here, when a specific strain I am looking for is only available here. Otherwise I will continue to support Cannabist in Carytown or Manchester GLeaf every single time. At least there, I'm treated nicely while being over-charged for subpar products. Went here for the first time and was worried because of the negative reviews, but it went great! I walked in and checked in with the desk person and set up my account/profile with them. That was super easy. Once I was done filling out the short form, I headed inside and was greeted by someone who helped me find stuff to meet my needs. I felt awkward because I wasn't exactly sure how to ask for what I needed, but it worked out. The guy was super helpful and patient. Pros: - easy checkin. - quick service. - decent selection. - helpful informational pamphlet. - they will replace faulty things (like pens)! Cons: - poor acoustics. It was hard to hear the guy over the music and other people next to me talking loudly. - my partner (who is old enough but doesn't have a medical marijuana certification) wasn't allowed to go up to the counter with me. I had talked to them beforehand about what I wanted to look for and ask about so they could help me remember, so I ended up forgetting to ask a couple things since they weren't there. However, now that I know this, I can be more prepared in the future. - slightly higher prices than recreational dispensaries I have been to in Maryland. Just showed up on a Saturday morning and the PLACE IS CLOSED! Ya'll....the.place.is.closed. Drive through only open. Cars wrapped around the building. Pick ups only. NO COMMUNICATION ON THEIR WEBSITE. What is going on with this place? If it was any other sort of business, it would have closed down by now due to such poor management. This was my first time back here since my last review and at least they are consistently bad. Constant staffing issues apparently. yeah, this place sucks as much as all the reviews say. the bud tenders can be cool, it's really hit or miss. the security and the front desk, however, are ALWAYS rude. the website hardly ever works well, the hours are inconsistent and terribly communicated--you pretty much have to just drive to the building and hope you've gotten lucky. i've been going to this location for almost 2 years and they just don't care about improving because where else are you going to go? the commercial market cannot come fast enough because it means i'll never have to deal with this place again. the selection is mid, the nugs are shriveled and dry, and expensive. again, where else are we going to go? read more

Agreed they're only in business because it's the only option in the area. Half the staff are very kind, half are rude. The website is designed to dissolve your "reward points" and they won't give them back. They'll tell you to contact the app customer service (which is nowhere to be found) and then not respond to your inquiry. Overall terrible customer service. Save your money. read more

I've only been to this location 4 times and 2 of those times they just randomly closed the store and did pick up orders only. Post it on your website if you're going to do that so people don't drive all the way there. And then the pick up line was about 30 cars deep and took 2 hours to get through, not sure why if it's only pick up orders....you pull up pay and get your order, how does that take more than a minute or 2 per car? read more

Don't bother showing up at 630p on a Friday (when EVERY SINGLE DISPENSARY IN the COUNTRY is open), because they will just refuse your entry and tell you to come back tomorrow, even though they are "open" until 7p. It's like walking into a Taco Bell and asking to order a taco...30 minutes before close...in an empty waiting room ...just to be told to return tomorrow. I dont understand why this dispensary gets such awful reviews. I have been using it for two years and apart from the returns policy which is a bit irritating, never had any complaints. The staff are pleasant and certainly know more than I do about the products, the products are reliable for my limited requirements, and the environment is professional. OK, they don't serve coffee and there is no muzak but this is a hard won legal possibility to buy stuff that makes sensible republicans start frothing at the mouth. One of the few medical dispensaries in VA. They are much better than last year when I started going. Prices are kind of high. Some of the marijuana has low THC content, but they are getting better bud in with higher THC now. The staff is always friendly and ready to answer all of your questions. You have to go through security to get in the building. I'm hoping they eventually come down on their prices. They need more saliva strains. They have mostly hybrid and indica. read more

All of these dispensaries are owned by the same people and all have the same products. Just because you pour syrup on dog poop doesn't turn it into pancakes. All the products are OVER PRICED and NOT like other states. Every strain I bought smells like homegrown CBD and isn't any better then playing the "Hey Mister" game. ALL the carts I bought were not good quality. I have been a medical user since 2011 and this is the worst quality of products I have used. I have yet to find a flower that actually smells skunky, or has a smell other then chlorophyll. They either need to cure correctly or hire some people from California or Colorado because something needs to change. They are only charging these prices because people are paying it. Frequently will sell very old, dry cannabis, being packaged 6+ months prior to sale and about to expire within weeks...They often skimp the 8ths, selling under the correct 3.5g (often 3.2-3.3g) which in a sense is scamming customers out of medicine. Prices are very high. Strains are low and limited. Once you find a product that works for you, they NEVER get it in, again. Has been more than one year, and that product has never come back in. The staff can't tell me WHAT product is equal to that product because of their limited knowledge of products carried.
