I read some comments about the…read moreacoustics but the concerns most folks had related to the equipment brought by the performers, not that of the theater. The reason this historic theater is a great place to see a show is how up close and personal these performances have been. For a small theater to book artists like Ricky Lee Jones or Bruce Hornsby / and groups like Adam Ezra or the Outlaws is amazing. The employees and volunteer staff are wonderful and amazing. Many thanks

Good luck finding a close spot. We parked across from the Lyric about 4 or 5 blocks away. Once inside , you will see the small bar straight ahead to your right. I suggest getting 2 drinks. We were shown the no video sign by the usher midway thru the performance. The balcony seats , which I would have loved to have bought, were all empty. Not sure if they were bought or reserved by Lyric club members and they did not show, or if they were available for purchase. Did not show they were available when I was purchasing tickets. All seats were $50. Excellent price. After the show, while we were waiting for pics and merchandise from Ana, for 20 to 30 minutes, I would have loved to have grabbed a beer from the bar, but the bar was closed after the show. I will definitely be back for another live performance.

Located in Currie Park this beautiful memorial along the Lake Worth Lagoon was created in 2004. This is the largest memorial to Dr. King in Florida and one of the largest in the south. The center of the memorial is a bronze bust of the Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. holding a bible. The sculpture was created by Steven Dickey from Tampa, Florida. Behind the bust flags wave over the waterfront. The granite wall behind Dr. King used to have cascading water but it's been turned off. The back side of the monument contains highlights from Dr. Kings speeches and key moments in his life. The placements of the memorial along the waterfront is stunning. This is a very moving tribute to a man who espoused peaceful protests and non violence. A message that bears remembrance today.

The ocean serves up a side dish of a scenic backdrop, from the front it looks like it is just a wall paying homage to Dr. King, however if you walk around the back, not only are his inspiring words scrawled along the back wall but you can also find a timeline of his life!!! If you pay close attention to the structures on the top of the wall, it looks like pyramids lined up from left to right. Not as massive and awe inspiring as the monument located in DC however it still packs the same dream filled promise of hope. The statue of King stands alone in front of a marble like wall as if to make him stand out and grab your attention and make you take a closer look. As you stand and stare at King staring/looking at the Holy Bible, if he were reading aloud to in that very moment, what chapter and verse would you hear? Possible his favorite scripture or the scripture that he felt would be the best to inspire a long standing faith in others. The landmark itself is free as it is free standing right before you approach the entrance to Currie Park. Street parking is availible as well as spaces at Currie Park and you can walk down the sidewalk close tot the water.

And it was a huge turnout. This time they had 5 local bands that performed which were all pretty good. Mr. Nice Guy, Southbound Hwy 41, Big Rock Band, Majesty of Rock & Tony Stevens Original Foghat. There was also a variety of food trucks, A playground area for kids, a Harley Davidson tent for shopping, Raffles, Exotic Car show, Bounce houses, Rock climbing Wall, and visits by Santa, Elmo & Baby Shark. The weather & temperature was fantastic for a fun filled day for all ages!!! And a lot of people dressed in their holiday gear as well.

Admission is $1.50 per person at the gate (Broward County), and then its $10.00 and an unwrapped toy or $20.00 per person. Along with thousands of motor cycles and rides there is quit a bit of thing to do. There's a classic car show, live performances on two stages, lots of motor cycles, related shops, some of the friendliest people, and of course lots of food and alcohol. This was my first time going to the event, although I have seen the motorcycle parade many times over the years. I took my daughter with me today, so I didn't get to stay as long as I wanted. I would have like to been there to see Dee Snider from Twisted Sister preform. If you here in South Florida you should give this a chance. To me its like the renaissance festive only with motorcycles, better people and food.

They offer free entry, free parking, and free tours! Gary was our tour guide and he is amazing! So much history & his stories! He was great! We spent about 3 hours with him and left with so much appreciation for what they did. This is an all volunteer museum so make sure to donate! Former President George H. W. Bush Sr was stationed here during his military service, graduated in 1943. There is a room dedicated to him and his time there! Lots of details! He even stopped by and signed a part of the wall! We can see pics of a young Barbara too! There is so much history here! There is a flight simulator training, vintage models/artifacts, uniforms, etc. Flight 19 that disappeared in Bermuda was from here. It is packed to the brim with memoribilia. Gary told us they have so many items, but can't display it all. The museum building is the only original building left of over 200 buildings of the base complex when it was used from 1942 to 1946. This base made a big impact on the growth of Southern Florida and is now the Ft Lauderdale - Hollywood International Airport. They have a private parking lot adjacent to the museum. Definitely recommended!
