We were warmly greeted by Todd and Gina, the owners, who couldn't have been friendlier. Todd told us all about their wines, including the awards they've won, especially in California, and generously offered us the chance to try any of the wines at no cost. We started with the Gruner Veltliner, a bright, citrusy, and crisp wine. It was extremely dry compared to other Gruners we've had, which are usually more fruit-forward, but it was still quite enjoyable. Next, we tried the Riesling, which was also very good. My wife moved over to the semi-sweet side and tried the Traminette, which I eventually sampled after trying all the dry wines. We both really liked it. I then tried the Cabernet Franc, which was a medium-bodied wine with notes of raspberry, blueberry, and a light mocha oakiness--delicious! The Chambourcin was also quite good, without the typical bite or tartness. Lastly, the Flagship Red, a classic Bordeaux-style dry red, had a pleasant hint of pepper and was definitely a standout. Todd shared that they exclusively offer wines from Stony Run Vineyards in Breinigsville, PA, which has a wide selection. They're also planning to offer Old Fashioneds soon, as their winery includes a distillery, and they'll be featuring a "drink of the week" as well. What really sets this place apart, though, is Todd and Gina themselves. They're genuinely kind people who are dedicated to the community, and it was heartwarming to learn that they both served in the US Military--Todd in the Navy and Gina in the Air Force. We chose to sit at the bar both times, but enjoyed looking around at the walls and taking a trip up the stairs for a nice overhead view of the first floor. The service was great and really is the selling point for returning. It's the number one reason that we'll go back again when we're in town. The prices are more than fair for the product. They have a ton of wine and beer available, including wine slushies. The beer and wine slushie I tried were both delicious. They have table games and plenty of seating available inside. There's also a small deli counter with some pies and snacks available too. Their free popcorn was fresh, buttery, and nicely salted. The staff were helpful, friendly, and prompt. They were quick to fill the popcorn when it was empty and were also handing out complementary mimosas made with hard cider for Mother's day.
