I've been living here for a month- and cannot emphasise enough DO NOT STAY IN BUILDING "B" (Liberty). This building feels like the bastard child. From amenities, to furnishings in the court-yard, to cleanliness everything is sub-par in Building B.
Either live in the main building, or find another apartment complex.
#1 EMPTY. Eerily vacant/isolated/secluded. Managment is willing to hold new apartments for 3+ months.. meaning this place will remain empty until at least then. 1st and 5th floors have yet to be open for leasing.
There is no "main lobby" to building B which means bringing up groceries is a huge pain in the ass. Yes, idiots designed the elevators in the parking lot- why the doors before the elevators???
#2 FILTHY. Carpets and floor are disgusting. Coffee stain has not been cleaned in weeks. Piles of garbage bags in the trash rooms that don't get empty. Bugs all over the 1st floor (including SILVERFISH). Compared to "main bulding" which is professionally cleaned daily and smells like the signature Bozzuto fragrance. In 1 month, the floors were vacuumed exactly once in Building B.
BTW management expects US to email THEM when the trash rooms are overflowing and essentially blamed tenants for the "smelly trash rooms".
#3 DRAINAGE/SEWER PROBLEM. Within 2 weeks of moving-in my toilet was clogged. All the sinks and bathtub smell like sulfur/rotten egg when the water is turned on. Faint smell of sewage wafts thruout hallways.
#4 CHEAP MATERIALS/FINISHINGS: Walking in the hallway, you can hear people watching TV. The lady above me stomps like an elephant at all hours. I can also hear the neighbors down the hall fighting. If you enjoy the kitchen and cooking, you will absolutely hate the ceramic stovetops. All the finishings, from countertops to window screens, are of extremely poor quality.
#5 POOR MANAGEMENT. Management is unresponsive. They were unresponsive when attempting to schedule a viewing prior to moving-in and they are still unresponsive now that I am a tenant. E-mails will go completely unacknowledged. The emergency clogged toiled issue? Also went ignored until the next day only after demanding it be addressed.
However, one exception to the poor management/leasing office rule, is Isabella Ryan. She is professional, knowledgable, efficient, honest, and just a genuinely nice person. Ask for her by name- she knows the building inside and out. Too bad she wasn't who helped us before moving in.
#6 TENANTS TREATED LIKE CHILDREN: Regardless of Bulding "A" or Building "B" Management has no respect for their adult tenants and is extremely condescending.
DAILY wristbands are now required to use the pool (which equates to daily checking in with the leasing office) to enforce their NO POOL GUEST during covid policy? How ludicrious. There are no limits on any other outdoor space here!! As an aside- only 3 umbrellas are available in the pool area- which is ridiculous. $70 million on this developement and 3 umbrellas? Give me a break.
Only HGTV is allowed to be played on common area TV's? Then please tell me, what is the point of all the "common areas" with over half-dozen TV's if you restrict us to HGTV? Lot's of superfulous rules made in the name of COVID.
#7 HANDICAPPED INACCESSIBLE. Management has yet to respond to my e-mail request for a map of the handicapped accessible entrances/exits. Rather, I was told "we passed ADA inspection- our doors are wide enough". The only doors in the entire complex that are "wide enough" are at the main entrance in Building A. Otherwise, it's a tight squeese and NO AUTOMATIC DOORS FOR HANDICAPPED TENANTS/GUESTS. I'd love for the ADA to come out again and re-inspect. Anyone with mobility issues should check very carefully before commiting to an apartment- because there is ALOT of walking if you are in Building B. We ended up driving underground from elevator bank to elevator bank to help my father with his special needs.
#8 EXTREMELY LOUD TRAINS!!!!! The trains on the river-side are extremely loud. My apartment shakes everytime a train goes by. )(reminds me of the scene from My Cousin Vinnie). It seems there are trains almost every hour in the evening, late-evening, and early morning before dawn. You'd think they would account for this and install noise-insulating windows.... but alas, no. If you or your guests are light sleepers, you will be MISERABLE!
Don't let leasing office tell you both sides are noisy, "mountain view" train noise is NOTHING compared to the "river view" units.
The entire complex is a facade- only pretty on the surface. If you decide to live here, trust me, live in Building A or live elsewhere. read more
