On the second date, technician called in the a.m. confirming arrival late afternoon. Late afternoon arrives and tech calls to cancel. Safelite owes me for 8 hours of wasted time at $40/hour. Incompetence is the hallmark of this experience highlighted with zero customer service resulting in no repair and a huge waste time. Abilene Safelite apologizes time and again on multiple reviews like this as if it's a popularity contest. Instead of playing games they need to get it right and run a service business. They go nuts if they hear a knock or doorbell on tv, when a real one happens it's mayhem. Apparently they had the wrong phone number, however they had the correct email, which i was checking often since getting up at ten am. Did not receive an email until 115 pm. Called to reschedule and was informed that the debit/ credit system is down and they will require cash or check. Its 2021 guys get paypal already nobody carries cash or checks. Got to the office they met me in the parking lot and checked the vehicle right away and made repairs to broken clips and realigned the windshield wiper position. Took me about 30 minutes. I am satisfied. Seems like if I could have contacted the folks at this shop by phone I could have avoided all the headaches. I was happy to pay a little extra for the convenience of having the technician come to us, but he…read morenever showed. There was no communication with us and we had to shuffle car seats and cars to make sure things were taken care of today just for this to happen. I'm so disappointed and surprised at the lack of consideration to hold up your entire day waiting for someone just to have no show and no communication. A family member had a great experience before and I was hoping a large company like this would be worth the extra, but instead we are a week behind on vetting our car sold. On top of all of that, they wanted to charge an additional $60 for I don't know what when they said the payment was received in full. Poor systems in place and even worse customer care. Go to a local guy instead.
