I've heard most times this recalibration is not needed, but if it turns out it IS needed, you'd have to take it somewhere else at a cost of $250-$700, or as much as $1,000 at a dealership! No thank you! Especially after the already expensive windshield! My tech was Kyle and, boy, was he sharp! When he arrived he told me it would take around an hour, I believe he finished the windshield installation, recalibration and cleanup in around 30 minutes - no small feat for my big Honda Odyssey on his own - and returned from the test drive in under 10 minutes. It was easy to pay with any type of credit card, even AmEx, and all told I think it was about 40 minutes. The owner, Steve, was a pleasure to talk to, as was Kyle, A couple of easygoing guys. I definitely made the right choice! And, if ever I have the need again, I will probably only be putting out a call for one quote ... from MasterTech.

But both times I got linked with Safelite through the State Farm app, which was an extremely easy and seamless process. They came to my house and fixed it for free both times! And both times, they got the job done quickly, with excellence AND walked me through / explained every step of the process. So, to be clear, I've never stepped foot in a Safelite location (and therefore can't review the FVH or any other location), but I am extremely pleased with both the outcome and how we got there for my two experiences with them.
