Lot's of play equipment to keep the kids entertained, I do have a problem with the slide set up though, to get to the top you have to climb up this weird green material that has been fashioned into steps, but you cant really see the steps, very tripsy indeed. I know this because I went down the slide numerous times and the climb up didn't get any easier. There is a kiosk available for drinks and ice-cream etc. you can bring your own picnic though and there are BBQ facilities available. one thing I did notice was a lack of rubbish bins, in fact I didn't see one, but there had to be one because there was no rubbish on the ground. The burnside pool is just across the green if you want to go for a swim, personally I don't like public pools because of how much chlorine they have to pack into them, ever had chlorine induced hazy eye syndrome? It's painful.

The bottom line is, this is GREAT and much more of an adventure park than the Burnside Adventure park. There's sheltered tables for the on-lookers plus some wildly different play equipment. It's the sort of place where children will run from one thing to another. I can't wait to explore this park more with my daughter. There are BBQs on the lawn section just off of the playground area and unfortunately there isn't a lot of shade over there apart from tree shade. If your child is in a wheel chair, there is a mechanical swing for them to use. Lots of fun shall be had at this playground.

With a huge area of playground equipment, and a towering cubby house housing a flying fox, swings, a teeter totter and best of all, plenty of trees to climb and hide during a game of hide and seek. There is enormous shade available here and they have great BBQ facilities, seating benches, toilets with a changing table and a drinking fountain. We love coming here. Throw a picnic rug, walk bare foot on the mulch or soft grass, twirl, run, dance or jump. So much of fun and pleasure as you soak up nature's beautiful aroma, sights and sounds.

There is room here to set up a picnic and not feel like the other people in the park can hear every word you say or are checking out the types of sandwiches you made. There are toilets, BBQs, taps and from memory there was a drinking fountain near the toilet block. There isn't any sheltered table/chair areas, this park is more a 'throw out a blanket or bring a chair' park. The playground is rubber floored and there's more than enough here to entertain a wide variety of ages. I can imagine this park would get a lot of traffic so if you want a certain spot, I'd get here early. *Dogs allowed* *Drinking fountain* *Toilet block* *BBQ*

Highlights include the Flinders Ranges, William's Creek (pop 7), the opal capital, Coober Pedy and finally Ulura and The Olgas before finishing up in Alice Springs. Total trip was 6 nights. Food and accommodations are included in the price. You sleep mostly outside in swags (with the Dingos) plus one night in an underground hotel in Coober Pedy. Meals are prepared on site so be expected to help cook and clean up. Beer is optional. This is a very laid back tour geared toward backpackers and other budget travelers, so don't expect any luxuries here. There is also a lot of hiking, so being in physical shape is helpful. Steve was especially helpful in Alice Springs as my hostel was overbooked and he was able to get me in at a different location. He even took us all out for kangaroo after the tour was over. If you are spending any extended time in Australia, then this tour is a must.

The prices are reasonable and the knowledge and enthusiasm from the guides is second to none. The 7 day desert trip from Adelaide to Alice Springs is a memorable way to see the heart of Australia and spend many nights in a swag under the stars, but if it's wildlife you're after, the 3 day Kangaroo Island tour is a must. Everything from koalas and kangaroos to seals and sea lions!
