Gahhh!!! Where to start! Kari was amazing! Starting off, I didn't think I would need her but boyyy…read morewas I wrong! Kari was a God sent! My hubby and I got engaged in February of this year and just had our wedding two weeks ago. Not much time for planning but she pulled it off. When she asked us what we were going for we gave her a very vague list of jess and david-isms and must haves and she, like a magician, used her magic to helped us shape our vision. We somehow managed to incorporate everything we wanted in our wedding. Our vision was "Ocean Meets the Mountains" and what better way to show that than with a PNW theme. For one day only, Washington came to Palmdale! Kari helped with everything. Decorations, planning, organizing vendors, finding vendors, premarital counseling...she does it all! She was so involved in making sure we were on top of our duties and making sure we used that darn checklist. (aisle planner, trust me, you want this). Kari went above and beyond to make sure everything ran smoothly. So yes, 1000000% use Ashdown Events. Tell her everything you want even if its crazy and let her work her magic to make your event amazing! Included are a few pictures of details from our wedding.

It was "enchanted forest amongst the dinosaurs" themed and had little nods to timeless films like Harry Potter, Edward Scissorhands, Jurassic Park, etc. Imagine a client telling you they want all that along with having to deal with very particular museum restrictions! Well, let me tell you... she went above and beyond to accomplish this eccentric bride's dream wedding!! Take it from me, weddings can be super overwhelming for a bride. Like decisions of what color napkins look good on the sweetheart table to how they coordinate with the linens on the cocktail tables, to making sure all the build staff are on the same page behind the scenes, to paperwork and communicating with all the dozens of vendors. I could not imagine doing this by myself! My head would have exploded! Not only was the design and organizing aspect completely handled and managed by Kari, she was also my personal therapist through months of planning and dealing with typical wedding pressures. Kari is a powerful force who gets the job done. She will let you cry on her shoulder and she will step up for you if you need someone who can grab 'em by the balls! I recommend Kari completely and if I had to do it all over again, I would hire her again and again. I plan to hire her when we renew our vows in 10 years and I'm sure I'll come up with an even more elaborate theme for her to play with. Get ready Kari!! Working with Kari was the most therapeutic experience of the entire wedding. She held my hand every step of the way, had patience for all my indecisiveness, and kept me sane on top of it all. The final product was literally ripped from my imagination and executed flawlessly. It was all a beautiful dream! From the bottom of my heart, thank you Kari! Mara Rouse-Turbin

I excitedly emailed them through the website. 2 days passed with no response. I decided to copy the email from the website and send it directly. Mind you that I had called them in between these days only to get no one on the line. By the 3rd time I left a voicemail. A couple of days later someone finally responded to my email asking these questions about my wedding. I gladly responded within an hour of receiving the email. I asked if I could get a breakdown of services provided and general pricing. It's been over a week and a half since I sent that email. Still no response. It's been over 2 weeks since I initially reached out, but still no response. I didn't even get a phone call back from the initial voicemail I left. I understand that times might be busy, but if you can't even reply to a simple email or phone call, you probably should rethink how you treat the customer. If this is a preview of the type of service I would get if I hired this vendor, I would gladly pass. It's sad that I was referred by a friend who had great experiences and yet I was not treated in the same manner.

From the moment i spoke with Linda Luxe about my birthday celebration and my vision, she not only reassured me it would be delivered but she also did a ton of research and sent me ideas to pick from. She planned my event in less than 3 weeks, got me in contact with all vendors, some of whom were abroad, (i ordered a dress and it got here on time!) She would call/text me frequently to check in with me and update me. She is super organized, and made a spread sheet of all the vendors and balances, this was super helpful. It was such attention to detail that reassured me she was the one for the job! Most importantly, she calmed my anxieties lol. We had a vendor call out day before the event because they were unwell and Linda immediately reassured me there would be a replacement and she made it happen. My party came off without a hitch, and all i had to focus on was having FUN! Linda Luxe, i appreciate your effort in planning my party and it will be forever etched in my memory She understood and executed my vision and i cannot wait to use her again for future celebrations.
