First I need to talk about our experience with just picking the music. He was amazing and so organized. We were blown away at how easy it was to get music. At first we were bummed because we wanted some Disney music for the wedding but it was not working. Well on the day of our wedding the dj was able to make it work and added the Disney music that worked perfectly for our wedding. We had a mix of monolingual Hispanic family members, older people in their 60s, co workers and people in their 30s he knew what music to play to make everyone get up and dance. I AM SO GLAD and EXTREMELY SATISFIED with his customer service and professionalism, I want him to be my secret DJ I don't want to share! lol Usually, upon receipt of deposit, most DJ's dont call you back right away until a week before the event. Jonathan made the effort to speak with my daughter to wish her a happy birthday and to get to know her style of music and what kind of ambience she wanted. I thought that was truly the best as I wanted my daughter to choose her cake, music, color theme and make it all hers. He gave us ideas about games and gifts as we went over the itinerary. Jonathan was a great EMCEE hosting the games, although we took over the mic because the game was a bit complicated, he was totally patient and wasnt bothered with it at all. With proper itinerary and scheduling, Jonathan can handle it. After the party, my daughter said the playlist she had given him got her friends dancing, but the songs played in between was not twerk/yike songs (as she requested) so everyone sat back down. When this happened, Jonathan took song requests and had the requested songs playing in no time! Which was super she said! Wow, I cannot say enough good things about dj Jonathan and his party rentals. I just got married in November, and I happened to find dj Jonathan on yelp. Everything he did from beginning to end exceeded my expectations. First, I was really happy to find out that he not only Djs, but he also can provide things like tents, bar stations, colored lighting, and even those personalized lights that have your names and wedding date on them. As I was planning the wedding, it was a bit overwhelming having to work with so many people, so it was nice to have one company that did more than one thing. Second, not only was it convenient, but the actual things that we ended up renting from him were top notch. The tent was just the right size, and had some nice lighting. The bar station was really cool- I got a lot of compliments from my guests on that one. All the lighting was perfect, and better than I envisioned it, and I absolutely LOVED the personalized light that had my and my husband's name on it. We even got to keep the metal stencil thing as a souvenir. Third, dj Jonathan is an AMAZING dj. He worked with my fiancé at the time and myself before the wedding several times to find out what type of music we were looking for, and it definitely paid off. Every song that I requested specifically was played, and the rest of the music was a blend of music that not only I and my husband enjoyed, but our guests also seemed to enjoy also. No joke- I saw at least 5 of my close friends and family dance for the first time on that night- dj Jonathan really knows how to pick the music for a diverse crowd. Last (but not least) dj Jonathan gets an A+ for customer service. Like I mentioned earlier, he talked with us several times before the wedding to find out what type of music we would like. I had a bunch of specific requests regarding the timeline and music, and nothing was too hard for him. Oh, and I particularly didn't want any explicit lyrics, and that wasn't a problem for him. He always got back to my calls and e-mails very quickly, and never made me feel like I was a nuisance (though I definitely did call and e-mail quite a bit.) My wife and I were just married this past Saturday and bottom line the reception was a complete success thanks to Jonathan's services. A true professional and expert at his job, Jonathan delivered unparalleled service as a DJ, MC and as an interior decorator..........I'll explain. Money is no object for the wife and myself but we are not reckless spenders either. We planned our wedding with a strict budget in mind and the only place we went slightly over budget was on the DJ services......NO REGRETS, MONEY VERY WELL SPENT. Our reception was at a venue that provided the location, food, bartender, food service, cake cutting, etc........It was basically a "one stop shop" for a flat rate that we couldn't beat but I'll be honest when I say that the location was very plain in appearance. The room was a perfect square and the only thing that separated it from a school lunch room was the single chandelier in the middle of the ceiling and the plain white curtains that lined the walls.........I believed that I was going to have to spend a small fortune on decorations to give the place a romantic vibe. This was not the case at all. Jonathan's state of the art lighting and equipment turned this plain looking cafeteria into a venue fit for royalty. The supervisor of the location stated that she had never had such an amazing DJ there before and had to get one of Jonathan's cards for herself. As an MC Jonathan delivered the goods!! He did an amazing job keeping the crowd engaged, under control and most of all entertained!! We did fall a bit behind schedule due to the kitchen staff falling behind but Jonathan was able to improvise our DJ schedule on the fly to make up for the kitchen staff and none of our guests even noticed. Jonathan did a great job coordinating with the staff at the location, bridesmaids and groomsmen while working to keep the event going flawlessly and gave my bride and myself the peace of mind of not having to worry or deal with any logistics on our special day. AS a DJ Jonathan provided quality sound through his top of the line equipment and a perfect mix of everything from 80's rock to the latest hits based on our music list we provided. Jonathan has a perfect system of scheduling with his live online word document. My bride and I were able to complete this document at our pace with Jonathan from the comfort of our home without ever needing to meet with him. VERY CONVENIENT. It is my opinion that anybody can be a DJ and deliver music however not everyone can do it like Jonathan did that night. In short, Jonathan was our DJ, MC, Interior Decorator and acted as our wedding planner that night. He did it with a smile the entire time and working with Jonathan was the equivalent to working with a friend that I've known all my life. Jonathan's equipment, lighting and services made our $8000 budget wedding look and feel like a wedding with a budget of $40,000......This being my second marriage trust me I would know LOL!!
