I used to insist my friends hit up a San Diego or LA make up artist for any weddings or special events because I'm a good friend and I want them to look nice. I'm so lucky I found Cori. She is the only person in the 909/951 and LA area I trust. My friends are also lucky I found her -- she's our friend group and family go-to person. She makes us look amazing. The best part about Cori is that she is an amazing human being. She's real, honest and so personable. My only regret is not finding her sooner. This weekend I watched her work her magic on two of my most beautiful friends. She did her thing and made them each look amazing in their own different way. I immediately regretted not getting to the IE a day earlier to get my make up done for the event. I cant wait for her to do our make up for my best friends baby shower in January. Being glammed up by her was one of the things I missed most during the pandemic.

Her book of her prior work was really pretty as well. I booked a trial through her for my engagement photos. Before my engagement photos, I followed her on social media and fell in love with her work on her clients. The day of, she made me feel so comfortable and really took her time to make me feel beautiful. I'm almost two hours away and she arrived early to set up. I told her what I wanted and showed her "inspo" photos as well. She matched the photos with my features and skin tone. I'm a huge fan of thick eye liner and people in the past have always hesitated to do thick eye liner. Arooj didn't hesitate and made it as thick as I wanted it to be. I loved my eyes! She is also the first makeup artist to get my eyes spot on. I have big eyes and most artists make them look small somehow and Arooj didn't! I felt beautiful and confident. I survived three dress changes and waves blasting us at the beach. My makeup didn't smudge or anything. If you want someone who is "real" and truly cares about how you look and feel, Arooj is your girl. She is going to do all my wedding events and I cannot wait! Arooj, thank you for everything.
