I lost business, was terrified with them tearing my motor apart (after specifically telling them not to). They were behind schedule and always have an excuse why they are not done with the work even after making an appointment weeks in advance. I have been banned from the service department and from buying parts from them, in writing. Truthfully, I had/have zero intentions of ever doing business with them again. Pretty bad after spending $80,000.00 on a boat with them and buying 75% of my maintenance parts from them. My next boat will be a Raider and it will not have a Yamaha on it. He even took the time to instruct and visually show me steps to maintain and winterize/ launch for fall and spring. On top of that, he gifted me an original instruction book for my boat and a tub of eco friendly heavy duty hand cleaner. He's been in business for 40+ years and has invaluable knowledge of these older boats. Other shops in town go to him for knowledge. Re: the 1 star review. 40+ years for specialized technical knowledge is not free. Yes, lawyers, doctors, professors all get paid for their knowledge and so do highly specialized technical mechanics. If you didn't want to spend money, you shouldn't have bought a "boat." Shame on you for expecting free knowledge and service AND 1 starring the business. It's not the businesses fault that you don't want to pay for its services.

It is very unfortunate that he is the only person locally that works on older boats. Our boat still isn't usable/fixed, yet we are now an additional $400 out. Not ok and not good business.

When we took it out on the water for the 1st time nothing on the boat at all worked.. we went back to Hopefully have them fix what they did and what they told me was that happens all the time in the winter. I know it's an older boat. However it's been working with no problem until we took it there to have a few things fixed. I would not bring your boat here for any reason.

He sent two employees out to the island to see if they could get the boat started. When they couldn't get it running, Cory had the boat towed to their shop. He had the service department run diagnostics on it and unfortunately it wasn't a quick fix. Cory and Russ checked their inventory for the part. When they realized they didn't have it in stock, Cory called around to see if another shop had the necessary part. This all happened on a busy Saturday. This isn't the first time I've had to call on them for assistance. I really appreciate their help and professionalism. Cory, Russ, and Tom have always been very helpful with my boat and dock needs.
