Other places had us calling them every day for an opening or waiting until the end of November. L&M got us in in three days. We arrived exactly at 3:00 on Tuesday as the snow is just starting. Whew! Maybe it should have been a warning sign when the tech walked back into the office (35 min into our appointment) and asked how he's supposed to work on a BMW when Honda keys are attached to the work order? That took you a half hour??? The super sweet Christine (who makes a killer cheesy potato soup) quickly found our work order and our 3:00pm job now has a 3:45 start. The car was finished in about an hour, as quoted. Plus, at twenty dollars per tire, it would appear a successful visit, thank you to my friend! Wait! Successful up until we were on the road again, approaching Tudor on "C" street. Wobble, wobble and off comes the left rear tire and lodges sideways under the axle. The freakin' tire came clean off! It's Tuesday, 5:00pm rush on our first seriously ice covered road this season. Now we're staring at the Bear Paw bear on the corner with only three functioning wheels on the ground. But thankfully, no one was hurt. Naturally, we called L&M who called a wrecker and carried us back to the shop. At L&M's expense. Having no loaner vehicles, they then sent us home in a cab. Again, on their dime. The following morning our car was first on the rack and all repairs were made. Once more, no charge. In fact, our initial $80 for tire service was refunded and L&M paid for our return cab ride. I spoke to Michael, the owner, and he confirms that they not only double checked/repaired the problem wheel, but they also rechecked the bonehead's (my term, not his) work on the other three. Tragic in some eyes, irresponsible in the eyes of others, inconvenient in mine. Mistakes are made in this world. I get that. This is one area they are not excusable. Burn my steak and you can always make another and we're all good. A serious accident happens due to neglect on my car, that could've have been a catastrophe. One maybe you don't recover from. To sum up. A huge unacceptable mistake was made. But this group bent over backwards to accommodate. They sent the cavalry to rescue us, secured our safe transport home and back then double checked all the work done to the vehicle. They waived all charges and paid all expenses. Equally as important to me is each of them offered a sincere apology even though only one person botched the job. I normally give local businesses a few chances before totally cutting ties. In my book this is a stand up organization that will get my future business and deserves four stars. 10/22

Since the prior owner sold the business, things have gone way downhill there. Take my advice and never bring your vehicle to this place. They don't deserve your business.

Here is why I can't say the house was cleaned to my expectations: Each cleaner worked in her own area but as far as I could tell no one did a run-through at the end to make sure nothing was forgotten. Most of the cabinet faces were washed but not all. The front of the kitchen peninsula was neglected and that is a biggie as it faces the living areas. The window seals and ledges were still dusty. I went around and cleaned what they missed and wasn't even too sad about that. At this point I would've gladly given them 4 stars and maybe even 5. The part that was dumbfounding to us was they didn't clean the freezer section of the fridge. It's a combo fridge andin my other houses I've never had a deep cleaner *not* wipe down the freezer part. When I realized the freezer had been forgotten, I called to let them know and the response came back as texts. She told me we asked for the fridge to be cleaned but didn't mention the freezer. I could pick up the slack on the other things that got overlooked but due to a medical challenge I cannot clean a freezer. At the end she offered (again, via text) to send someone back (for an undisclosed price) but it's been 4 days and I've still heard nothing back. More than anything I'm disappointed because we paid a considerable amount of money and it seems no one from White Lilac cared enough to tie up loose ends. Again, I feel like the ladies did a fine job; the problem is with the way the service is run. Someone should walk through the property at the end to ensure no one forgot anything. And maybe next time someone asks to have their fridge cleaned, you can get the customer to specify about the freezer so you don't run into this problem again. By the way, just to make sure we weren't up in the night, I happened to be in a meeting the next day and all 14 ppl agreed that in their minds, cleaning a fridge that's a combo means cleaning the freezer too. I would recommend this service but with the caveats that the customer needs to be very specific about what they want cleaned and someone needs to be there to make sure everything was cleaned.

My husband and I both have jobs that are difficult to get off of during the week. Since KD isn't open during the week, this has been a perpetual challenge. Additionally, we are a single car family and my husband needs the car for his job, so its almost impossible for us to address things that we don't feel are very important. Were we pissed? Absolutely. But it was esthetic, so lesson learned. But KD had promised us free tire changes with the life if the tires due to our purchase of custom rims, so we figured we would cut our losses since 2 changes a year equals over $200 a year. We figured KD was nice and they had earned customers for life with service like that. We liked the idea of buying bougie rims and tires her for our baby. Fast forward to our first seasonal change. Everything went fine. We have the receipt to prove it. But subsequent efforts to schedule a change over proved too challenging due to our work schedules so we stopped going here. Periodically we would call to see if they ever added weekend hours just during the seasonal tire over time, but sadly no. You'd think maybe they would do a Tuesday-Saturday thing or something.... but nope. Anyway, that's not what was the clincher that pissed me off. Finally in 2025 my husband has some seniority at work and is able to get a day off during the week off and drops the car off for the seasonal change over. And when he picks it up they charge him. And when he reminds them about our rims and their policy they refuse to honor it. What makes it worse is he posts his concerns Yelp, he gets a PHONE CALL from KD asking him to retract his review and they don't acknowledge that they every had a policy regarding free mounting and balancing. I call bullshit. I have the damn receipt. You can't put tires on a car without mounting and balancing. That's idiotic. Are you used to dealing with people who have no knowledge of basic vehicle maintenance?!?! I really thought this was one of the few quality vehicles places in town and am very disappointed to learn that is just another bunch of crooks who lie and swindle. There's nothing discount about this place. You want discount, go to Costco or something. I am the kind of person that prefers to support smaller business and pay a little more. But not if I'm gonna get lied to and cheated. Fck that.
