*** They now take credit card and debit cards! My visit: I signed off a cruise ship here in Juneau and spent 2 nights before flying out to Seattle to join another ship. As I have done multiple contracts in Alaska, I decided that I'd like to catch a movie I'd wanted to see so I caught the public bus and came here. Polite and friendly teenagers greeted me and sold me the ticket and another sold me my popcorn and soda which I paid with my debit card. Prices were about the same as back home in Charleston, SC. But both smiling teens I talked to said "Enjoy your movie!" The screen I was at here had better seats than Ketchikan's theater and while I am not overweight, I still had room in the seat and was comfortable. The seats seemed newer and had plenty of spring to them. All in all a nice theater! If I was looking for something to do on a chilly rainy day, I'd come back! read more

Went for a Sunday movie this afternoon. I must say, it was quite busy compared to my home city (Birmingham, AL). Guess more people go to the movies here. It is a little outdated, but who cares- we are there for the movie and popcorn, and not the seats! Movie ticket was reasonably priced compared to lower 48 but concessions were priced about the same. Poor customer service. I'm familiar with limited options in smaller towns, but that's not an excuse for poor service. The ticketing agent was condescending, rude, and dismissive. We were the only ones in the theater but they left the door open so we could hear all the staff talking during our two our movie. Very disappointing experience. Small town hospitality--not here. read more

Went here tonight. Worst theater I've ever been to. THE ENTIRE STAFF WAS A BUNCH OF RUDE DUOCHE BAGS. This worthless theater doesn't even take credit cards. The place smelled like a public bathroom. The chairs totally sucked. Don't even waste your money on this worthless crapfest theater. Obviously the owner doesn't care at all about customer service. read more

The place is a bit antiquated in its look and could use a remodeling. The theater does not except credit cards and makes you draw cash from the ATM stationed 'conveniently' next to the ticket window. The place seems to be clean and well maintained though. My film played fine and there was hardly anyone in the place so I could easily find a seat. read more

Big complaint is higher cost and no updates that make the movie theatre more comfortable. However I have no idea what movie theatre these other people went to that they received poor Service. I always get awesome service with smiles and I love that. And it always looks like they are busting their butts to get stuff done. The manager (I would assume) always makes a point to smile at me and greet me when I come in. Update your theatre keep your employees. read more

They don't take credit cards?! It's 2014. Instead, they make you use a cinema owned ATM to get cash, making another $2.50 on top of their $8.00 matinee. Theater itself is OK, not great, but smells like a damp basement when you go inside. Pretty bad first impression of Juneau. read more
