As I have done multiple contracts in Alaska, I decided that I'd like to catch a movie I'd wanted to see so I caught the public bus and came here. Polite and friendly teenagers greeted me and sold me the ticket and another sold me my popcorn and soda which I paid with my debit card. Prices were about the same as back home in Charleston, SC. But both smiling teens I talked to said "Enjoy your movie!" The screen I was at here had better seats than Ketchikan's theater and while I am not overweight, I still had room in the seat and was comfortable. The seats seemed newer and had plenty of spring to them. All in all a nice theater! If I was looking for something to do on a chilly rainy day, I'd come back!

Every seat in the house is a great seat and the theater offers an intimate experience. Professional Artists from all over Alaska and the lower 48 have graced this stage or directed the shows here. It is more than just a community theater, but better yet a theater that caters to the community.

There is a short film you can watch about the city. The exhibits are mainly centered around mining and the local tribes. We didn't stay very long as the exhibits had a lot of information and was not set up in a while that was easily read when browsing.

The museum is modest in size (compared to the Alaska State Museum) but you can stay here for a very considerable amount of time as there is a lot read, a short film and all the artifacts to examine that are on display. Excellent museum for the tourists but the locals will walk away with plenty of value for themselves from it as well. Very friendly and informative staff which is always a good thing!
