I recently purchased a new home that came with carpeting going up to the 2nd floor through to the attic. I was hesitant that George may not be able to remove the stains from my carpet as it is by the entry way, a high traffic area, but boy was I wrong! I have not had the carpet cleaned in about 10 years when I first put it down. He was able to remove all of the stains reviving the carpet back to its original color. Parents, do not let this putty anywhere near your furniture. But if you do, George can get it out! He also got paint out of a rug and again, these were not fresh stains. My carpet had really ground in stains - almost black from the shoes coming in from the blacktop street. About 8 months ago I hired George via Thumbtack to clean my rug, and he did a fantastic job - the rug looked better than new! Just this morning I bought a sofa on craigslist and was dismayed to find it was a bit dirtier than I had anticipated. I have a white, linen material sectional that, through a move, got pretty dirty and had lots of lint and dog hair weaved throughout. Luckily I looked here in Yelp and saw the past reviews for George. With nothing to lose I gave him a call. Best decision ever! Not only was he super quick to get back to me but came over within the hour to give an estimate! But it gets better! The estimate was more than reasonable and he offered to do the job immediately! Uh yeah! That's a no brainer. He quickly got set up and a few hours later made three rooms of carpet go from old and unsightly to looking like they were just newly installed! I was, and still am, so impressed that I made sure to log in my yelp account, which I haven't in years, to leave him this review! George's work was impeccable and he is a very nice guy. He transformed a 12 year-old microsuede chair from embarrassing to spotless - no small feat! He also got very old pet stains (cat vomit, etc) out of our white bedroom carpet and carpeted stairs. The only reasons this is 4 instead of 5 stars is that his initial price (chair, bedroom carpet & stairs) was great but when we asked if we could add a couple of cushions from a sofa with minor spots to the mix, he added nearly 50% to the bill, which was a shock. Still, we would absolutely use him again in a heartbeat. We'd just make sure all the pricing was set before the job to avoid surprises. read more
