Gustavo and his staff are fantastic! They have worked for us on several occasions and all the work has been excellent. They just repainted a master bath that had a difficult texture ceiling and walls that he was able to completely redo to more than our satisfaction. And his rates are very reasonable! We will continue to use their services. Todd Goodman read more

Gustavo was very professional and provided a very competitive bid. I can see why he has such a high rating!

Gustavo gave a competitive quote and was able to move quickly with a large crew. Made good recommendations. Pleasant to deal with, accomodate some last minute changes gracefully, and the results were very good. read more

Amazing painter. Highly recommend him. I want to thank everyone who recommend Gustavo Juarez at GJ painting. Phone # 805-258-6150. We are new to this area and did not know who to use to paint our kitchen. I looked on nextdoor and searched painters and saw a bunch of people recommended him. I called him up he came over and the same day he gave me a quote. His price was so affordable better than the other two I received. He said he would start on Monday and would be there at 7. He was there at 7 and his crew worked all day. They finished in two days and it looks so beautiful. If your looking for a great painter honest and affordable you will not be disappointed. I never knew him until two weeks ago. read more

Gustavo and his crew are good. I had concerns because out house is tall. Not a problem for GJ painting. Very happy with the end result. They are very thorough in their prep. The extra cost for termite repairs was reasonable and done right. They had the job done quickly. read more

I have had the pleasure of working with Gustavo and his crew on several occasions and they never disappoint! I love all the work that has been completed. We had a seamless and quality experience with GJ Painting-- professional, responsive, timely. The prep work was terrific and the finished house looks amazing and was completely on time as quoted. Great feedback on colors and completely kind and reliable. Thanks GJ Painting! read more

GJ Painting crew did a fantastic job on our kitchen and bathroom cabinets. They helped us pin down the color scheme and came through with scheduling work to be completed the day before Thanksgiving. The paint job was beautifully done, the area well prepped clean. His work crew is well organized and punctual. A nice group of hard working guys ... we also enjoyed watching a bit of the World Cup together. Will definitely contract with GJ Painting in the future. read more

Gustavo and his crew re-prioritized our home interior paint project due to rain and these guys worked fast! They were done in 2-3 days and we were mostly happy with the result. They did a great job patching up drywall holes and leaving the leftover paint supplies. If I had to nitpick, I'd point out that not all of the fixtures were replaced, and looking for one was pretty funny, as we found it in a random kitchen drawer. One fixture is on a long chain and it looks like only one of its screws was re-drilled, so it looks like it's precariously dangling. Some paint marks did make it onto some floors, door knobs, but no big deal IMO. I'd recommend giving Gustavo and his team a call. I'd say they did a good job overall and are happy with their work. Thank you! read more

We had the chance to use Gustavo and his crew to paint our AYSO snack shack and shed in Newbury Park and they truly did a great job! Scheduling an estimate was easy and Gustavo responded immediately to my text, showed up on time for the appointment, and gave me a price immediately. He came recommended from a contact at a local paint store and I had a good feeling about Gustavo from the moment I met him.The job was completed on time and for the price that was estimated, which is sadly rare these days. The job site was also kept clean throughout and everything was completed with a ton of care - including Gustavo personally marking areas for touch up for his crew. I've already recommended Gustavo to several friends and family and hope he gets all the work he can handle! read more

Gustavo has now painted 2 of our homes and we have been so pleased with the work he and his crew have done each time! Gustavo and his foreman, Roger are professional, responsive, and provide high quality home painting as well as many other services for your homes interior and exterior. Definitely recommend for your next home update! read more

Where do I start. Gustavo has taken care of my painting needs for more years than I remember. From repainting the entire interior of my personal home ( twice now) to the exterior of more than one of my rental properties, to spaying my vintage iron patio furniture collection. And yes all the maintaince painting that goes with rental properties! As both a home owner and a residential property manager I like to think I know VALUE. Gustavo gives thought to his bids and rarely does the final price exceed his estimate. ( he will bring it up prior to going over bid) We are both fans of Dunn Edwards so that makes color selection; ability to work from the same color deck, EASY. Gustavo has always been able to pick up paint when I did not have the time or physical ability. I bring up physical ability as in the last few years I have become disabled and Gustavo takes that in stide. No longer able to do the 'prep' work I used to as in covering floors etc. doing such is never a problem for him and his thoughtful regular crew. His team, always respectful, and the quality of the work INCREDIBLE! My late mother always marveled at the beautiful cut lines done free hand and the care that was taken in not only prep but clean up!! Also in his repetoire his abilitay to 'sand, sand, sand' and patch when it can be done, but he also makes it clear when a carpenter should be called in! There are some painters that (I have had the displeasure of working with) would patch wood too far gone . . . only someone likes Gustavo, who takes genuine pride in their craft, makes that tough but necesssary call. I met Gustavo while he worked for a larger outfit, one that did not have time for my little jobs. But Gustavo happily worked late or Sundays to fit me in; and how did I appreciate that! Again prices as quoted. It has been both my pleasure and privilege to know and work with Gustavo for well over a decade? Smile. Whatever your painting job may be ~ from a multi story appartment or condo complex to a room or two or perhaps that 'freshen up' on any building; Gustavo brings his years of expereince backed by excellent crew to your project! Gee I sound like I am writting an add . . . but that is ok. He deserves a 'pitch' from a loyal customer. I hope a few more of Gustavo's long time clients/freinds hop onto this bandwagon and attest to his attention to detail! Did I mention he always shows up on time?! Bottom Line; Value for the Money and then some. Ann Christine, DetailsForLiving Inc. read more

Gustavo and his crew did an excellent job for me! He was quick to get back to me with a response to my inquiry on Yelp. He came to look at the job in person and gave me an estimate right away. No one else offered to come in person. Other painters who responded gave me estimates that were much higher and given without looking at the job. I was very pleased with the results. I highly recommend GJ Painting. read more

I have used Gustavo and his crew on two different projects and they were great. Good communication , on time , quality work . Cleaned up the jobsite well at completion. Competitive pricing. Restucco and painted the whole front of our property and it looks great. Did a lot of prep work on extensive wood balcony railing that gets a lot of abuse and it looks great. Covered and protected nearby cars and area's not to be painted well. I will be using them again! read more

Gustavo and his crew were on time every time, fair, price, good prep, application and cleanup. thanks, Gustavo and crew.

Gustavo has painted my house in the past and he and his crew did an excellent job. He painted my home again this year (all wood, not an easy job). Again they were fantastic. It's not easy to find a reliable, reasonable and excellent painter but Gustavo checks off everything! It is a rental home and my tenants reported back that he and the crew cleaned everything up, were respectful and kept on the timeline they set. read more

GJ Painting did a stellar job painting the inside of our house. From the initial bidding process through his final punch list walk through, Gustavo (the owner) was on top of things, prompt, and did what he said he would do without fail. His bid was fair. His crew was efficient, professional, courteous and very respectful of our house. They were diligent in their prep and clean up, and handled our furniture and art with kid gloves. We would use GJ Painting again with no hesitation. read more

Gustavo and his crew did an incredible job, repairing and painting a portion of my house. I also had a picnic table that needed to be refinished. We have used GJ painting a few times for painting and some drywall work. Drywall all our interior vents after new a/c system, painted entire interior garage, drywall/stucco of new window interior/exterior, house exterior trim and interior house painted. Gustavo is very good about getting back to you with the quote. His prices are very reasonable. The work crew are always on time, clean and professional. If there is any spots that need attention afterwards that has always been taken care of without any issues. Very happy with all work and highly recommend! read more

Gustavo is seriously a saving grace. He painted my office (and my neighbors office/house), my house, and even a tennis court! Super friendly and speaks perfect English. Also, if you are looking to do other work he seems to always know a good guy. Gustavo and his crew were great all around. He painted the exterior of my home in Oxnard. He met me on schedule to review the project and prepare his bid, which he sent to me promptly. He then followed up quickly and offered a number of reference contacts without being asked (all gave him rave reviews!). He began the project on the day promised and had a large enough crew that they completed the work within a week (pretty good considering the size and accessibility of our house). His crew spent a lot of effort on prep, and the final 2-cost paint job looked great. He happily did a couple little extras I asked for at a modest additional charge. Also his guys are friendly and pleasant to have around. I will definitely call Gustavo the next time I need a painter! read more
