Based on our experience, we can not recommend her to anyone looking to sell their house as we feel that she did not take care of our house as she said she would. To sell our house, my family temporarily relocated to a inlaw's house to avoid the foot traffic from showings during the pandemic. We kept all of our possessions in the house and stressed to Joyce our concern for the safety of our items and house. Joyce assured us that she would personally come back to the house after each day's showings to make sure the house was properly locked up and properly secured. In addition, if something went wrong in the house, she would have a record of who visited and when so that she could identify a culprit in the unlikely scenario that something did occur. During the selling process, I went back to the house on occasion to grab personal items. On one occasion, I found the back door unlocked, primed for anyone to enter our home and have free access to all of our home and possessions. In addition, I found multiple windows left open - keep in mind, this was during the Napa fires when the air quality index was 200+ and ash was everywhere. When confronted, Joyce brushed it off and made an excuse that this was the first time this had occurred and it was a one off. On another occasion, I went back to the house and found both the side door into the garage and the door from the garage into the kitchen unlocked, allowing complete access to our entire home, yet again. I checked the chest freezer in our garage and saw that the power cord was unplugged and that my wife's 6 month frozen breast milk supply for our baby in addition to our food supply had completely defrosted and gone bad. Again, when confronted, Joyce dodged any fault and said she would call everyone who had been in the house to see if anyone unplugged the refrigerator which led nowhere. These two instances of negligence to lock our doors were only instances that I happened to catch. It is impossible to know how many times this actually happened. The process of selling a house is already hectic and chaotic and a good agent should help mitigate that. Joyce did not do that for us. We also feel that she didn't do much to help us address the issue of the unplugged freezer and lost breast milk. For these reasons, we can not recommend her to anyone.

A project plan was developed months in advance and for the most part all deadlines were achieved. Luis (contractor) and Priscilia (coordinator) prepared the house for sale on time and on budget. The staging firm did a great job in presenting our home. When necessary Wilson was alway available to answer our questions. The Open Houses took place as we planned months in advance and we were given an update at the end of each weekend. When offers came in Wilson and Cathy (Experttcs) helped us navigate through the negotiation process until we accepted a bid that met our target. We were then introduced to Michele (Director of Ops) and Aldolfo (escrow officer of WFG Title Co.) to guide us through the closing process. Their assistance made the paperwork burden as painless as possible. We were happy with the entire process and impressed with how the Own Team worked together to get the job done. We deducted a 1/2 star because the lateral sewer work mandated by the city was delayed for weeks because the plumber that OWN uses was not available. This caused a delay in closing. My recommendation to OWN is to expand the list of plumbers the company can use. Also, we were assigned an original coordinator with whom we did all the pre-planning. However, when execution time arrived we discovered she left the company. Thankfully Priscilia stepped in and everything worked out fine.
