Thank you Girl AGain

I have never been so impressed with a retail store. If your daughter or you yourself are a fan of American Girl this is the store for you. The team is friendly and willing to help you find the outfits you need for your doll. We were looking for Felicity and Kirsten dresses and accessories and the team was more than willing to help us get what we were looking for. The selection of clothing is out of this world! I can't say enough good things. We will be back!!

One of the outfits my daughter purchased.

Terrible customer service! Ordered balloons and paid for them in advance (big mistake). I was not…read moreable to pick up the balloons on the day ordered but spoke to the gentleman who worked there and told him I would get them the following day. When I showed you at the store, all of my balloons were popped except 2. I was told by the young lady working that the balloons were deflating and there was no note to say I was coming to get them (missing note was not my problem). When I asked to speak with the owner to get some sort of credit, I was told I could REPURCHASE new balloons or call the next day to talk to the owner, which would have been today. When I called today, I was hung up on multiple times, and told it was my fault I did not get them on the day I said I was. I asked for a refund or store credit and I was told no, there was nothing they could do to help me. Meanwhile I paid for the balloons so no matter what fashion they were in, it was my prerogative to decide what I wanted to do with them, not for the store to pop and throw my money in the garbage (just short of $60). Terrible customer service especially for a small business who needs community support. I shopped in there often and am extremely disappointed by the lack of service I received over the past two days. That is not a way to treat paying customers!

Just wanted to give a shout out to Ron at BigTop. PartyCity…read morenever showed up with balloons for my daughters birthday. I went to BigTop at 8:30am with the party starting at 10am. Ron made the exact balloons we needed (40) and made it easy to transport them quickly home. He had great advice and knowledge to make sure the balloons looked great. Thanks so much!! What a great experience!!!

Another bicycle store on Central Park Avenue replaced my Schrader valves with Presta valves. The…read moretires didn't need to be changed. They also talked me into changing the chain, which also didn't need to be changed. Their prices were sky high too. Additionally, it became necessary for me to purchase a new pump...yet another cost. Instead of going back for more abuse, I found Miller's. The store has a classic look from when it first opened decades ago. Inside the store, I also experienced old fashioned courtesy and professionalism. I originally entered the store on Mamaroneck Avenue and went downstairs with my bicycle. Martín tested out a pump I considered purchasing by pumping air into both of my flat bicycle tires. It was a great experience I'd highly recommend. After my purchase, Martin raised the big door for me (which opened onto Phillips Park Road). I rolled out of there a happy customer!

I visited it again on my weekend rides and the rear/downstairs was much more established and customer friendly. Having much experience with bicycle shops over my 50 plus years plus I was surprised when they had an advertisement in a Bicycle trade paper for a floor manager. I went in for the ''interview'' during Covid and was given a Half Attention dialog/interview with the owner and concluded they are guilty of ageism pure and simple. To make matters more egregious, i subsequently stopped by to pay a token visit as a customer to actually purchase a maintenance product and was given that same blank stare. I have urged all my serious cyclist friends since to avoid said establishment, especially if you are over 50 years old. Sorry to write, some people never get it or have courtesy. Ray K.
