Disappointing. I…read morereally wanted to like this place. Unfortunately, the food just wasn't up to expectations. My neighbor brought me here for dinner last night. She really likes this place. Her family members come for their special occasions and she was excited to take me. We didn't order an appetizer or cocktails. A diet soda for her. Water for me. They bring a large salad with a house dressing to the table and dinner rolls with butter. My neighbor told me about the salad and bread while we were reading the menu. Although, she said the bread usually comes with an herbed olive oil. I would've much preferred that to the cold butters. The cinnamon butter did not pair well with the salad or Italian food. The salad was ok. The dressing had a good flavor but the lettuce was limp. My neighbor ordered the Capronis Spaghetti with meatballs for her entree. I ordered the Lemon Piccata with Shrimp. The neighbor told the waiter she enjoyed the spaghetti. So, I'm guessing it was good. My Lemon Piccata was terrible. It was the worst lemon piccata I've ever had. For some reason the angel hair pasta had been broken into little pieces before cooking. The pasta was very overcooked and mushy. And it was swimming in sauce. The dish was almost like soup. Since my entree didn't arrive at the table hot the shaved parmesan cheese got clumpy in the lukewarm mush. The shrimp was overcooked and rubbery. It's right by the river and has great views. There was live music and the big draw seems to be the train that comes by on the tracks right outside the window. There's many signed plates from celebrities that have stopped in. The service was friendly and attentive.

This family-owned Italian restaurant makes you feel like you've stepped back in time to the 1940s…read morewith checkered table cloths, brick walls, & old time photos. Our waiter may have been the grandson of one of the owners (not sure). Even though he was young he was very engaging and worked hard to please us. The menu was extensive with every Italian dish imaginable, including pizza. We ordered meat ravioli on spaghetti with homemade red sauce and angel hair pasta with little neck clams in white wine sauce. We had a house salad and the meals came with their homemade cheese bread and marinara. Everything was absolutely delicious. We ate every bite (no leftovers to take home)! We highly recommend Belini Cucina. Wish we lived closer so we could go there often!

Stomach filling Italian food for the soul! I'm usually not an Italian food lover because red sauce…read moredoesn't like me, but I very much enjoy the Alfredo sauce here! It's a nice little restaurant, staff is friendly, and the food is very tasty. I typically like to order the stuffed shells with Alfredo sauce, recently I started adding Italian sausage with it for a little bit or zing and protein. The portions are typically huge and worth the price! The only feedback I can give that stopped this from being a 5* review is that often they are missing ingredients for certain dishes. Last time it was Caesar dressing, one time it was the Italian sausage, and the list goes on. They have a chalk board at the front to show you what items/ingredients they are out of for the day. Regardless, there are enough great recipes that you can absolutely find something that will be just as great.

My husband and I chose Mama's for our anniversary dinner and had a wonderful experience! We…read morefrequent another pasta restaurant in town and wanted to try something new that also had several Italian classics to choose from. It was all delicious, service was wonderful, vibes were beautiful, and I felt the food came at a good value for what we ordered. Mainstrasse in Covington is an experience and Mama's is part of that! We sat outside on the patio to take it all in- highly recommend in nice weather. The building itself is beautiful and both the inside and outside feature artsy details in the decor that I really appreciated. My favorite was the mismatched plates, which were darling and cozy! Our waitstaff was quick and friendly, allowing us to order all at once and bringing things out with great timing- quickly, but not until we finished a course so we weren't rushed. We appreciated getting in and out relatively quick as we had a sitter at home. We decided to go a little all out and try a lot of items together. First, the focaccia and ricotta was enjoyable but not my favorite bread starter I've had. It hit the spot but I wasn't raving about it like another one of my favorite whipped ricotta starters across town. The arancini, however, was fantastic- probably our favorite thing we ate. Hot, crispy, and paired with a delicious spicy marinara that was super standout and flavorful. Next we got the stonefruit panzanella, which was beautiful and really yummy. The burrata was delicious in particular and while the cherries and peaches weren't the best I've had all season, they worked well together in this dish. For our entrees, we split both the chicken parmesan and the limone pasta. The chicken parmesan was huge, we both had a large piece even after it was split. The pasta had that delicious marinara from earlier and we really enjoyed it, which is saying a lot for a simple marinara spaghetti. The chicken was very thin and crispy. I liked the limone even better- it was very lemon forward which can be hard to achieve in a creamy sauce. We only wished we tried more shapes of pasta because it's made in house and the spaghetti was the perfect level of al dente in our opinions. We were super full, but ordered the cookie platter to finish the meal. We split a couple of the 6 cookies that came in 3 varieties, but took the rest home! The chewy almond/amaretto cookie was our favorite and really unique. My husband also had an old fashioned and commented that he liked it a lot. I would have expected this much food to come out to much more than it did- $100! I feel that is a great value for a special occasion considering we were stuffed and tried a ton of menu items. Overall, this was such an indulgent and fun experience and I'd highly recommend Mama's to anyone who is looking for a yummy Italian experience with comfort food classics in a fun, cozy Covington setting.

Absolutely adorable spot for Italian in Versailles!…read more I met up with some friend here for a girls dinner and luckily it was nice enough to be seated on the patio. We started with the arancini as well as the house bread that's served after you're seated- both super tasty. I'm not a huge pasta fan so I ordered a grilled romaine salad (that may be seasonal because I no longer see it on the menu). I added salmon and it was great! Our service was great and I definitely think Vallozzi's is worth the drive from Lexington!

My wife points out Vallozzi's as we were walking back to the car, and we decided to try. We walked in and immediate love the vibe. The restaurant is gorgeous! And they were busy too. We walked up to see if we could get a table. She asked if we had a reservation and we didn't. She said they were totally booked. We were bummed but said thank you and agreed we'd come back when we did. As we were leaving, the hostess chased us down and asked if we still wanted to grab dinner, of course we said yes ...... and so began our dining journey with Vallozzis! Ashley as was our server and we took her recommendations on just about everything! The menu is varied with plenty of options. We started with the prosciutto plate and recommended wine - Teresa got the Angel Rose and I chose the Hall Chardonnay. Perfect. Our daughter had a Sprite, just to put that out there. Our daughter got the manicotti which looked fab! My wife got the Parma, and I got the special beef filet ravioli. Everything was prepared perfectly and we could not have been better service. Thanks Ashley! The ambiance is quite charming and you'll feel very comfortable being here! We needed to get dessert of course so we chose the banana tiramisu and got two of them to go! No disappointment at all. Really enjoyed our time and dining experience here and we'll definitely be back. There's too much on that fabulous menu to try, not yo come back and back and back. Check out Vallozzis! Make sure to get a reservation just to be safe. We will too!
