Title: Delicious Stuffed Mushrooms - A Solid 7 out of 10! I recently had the pleasure of trying the stuffed mushrooms in Angleton at Giovanni's restaurant, and I must say, they were quite enjoyable. On a scale of 1 to 10, I would rate them a solid 7. The stuffing was a delightful blend of breadcrumbs, cheese, herbs, and other savory ingredients, which added depth and richness to each bite. While the stuffed mushrooms were undeniably delicious, there were a couple of aspects that prevented me from giving them a higher rating. Firstly, I found that the portion size was a bit smaller than expected, leaving me wanting more. Additionally, I felt that the dish could have used a touch more seasoning to enhance the overall taste. Overall, I rate the stuffed mushrooms a solid 7 out of 10. Had the absolute pleasure of having a first night waitress named Hailey and she ended up being a the rockstar of the night with food recommendations and help!

This restaurant has been a staple in the area for many years. I have only been there a few times now and all three times it's because one of my good friends growing up loves to eat there and when we make the time to meet up for dinner this is his go to place. we met up with another friend and had dinner there again recently. The restaurant is always busy and when you have a large party recommendation is to call ahead and make a reservation we did that and got seated on the patio. They had a huge party inside, and I think that slowed the service down this particular evening, as we waited a while to be waited on and for refills on drinks, we did order an appetizer of mozzarella cheese. It's lightly breaded and I assume deep fried square of cheese that you cut and dip into the marinara. It was good. I don't eat pasta much these days and as far as I can tell everything on the menu came with pasta even the what was described on the menu as ribeye steak that I ordered, the steak was very thin and just OK as far as flavor. I did try a bite of the pasta but I didn't like it. Let's just say the fellowship was much better than the food. I would probably go back and try something different next time because I know the food I've had them before I've really enjoyed, but I can't give anything more than three stars for this particular trip because of the service and the food was just mediocre at best.

Great food! Everyone enjoyed their meal only downside was they didn't have the spumoni I was so looking forward to.

Consistently delicious since 2001. Love the Snapper Waikiki and Snapper Portifino. If you want superb service, ask for Rachel. Besides being the best waitress, her super power is recommendations and pairings!

This is my favorite place to eat in the county. Always a good experience. A little dark but the food makes up for it. Try the crab cakes.

I'm sure you will find something you like because of the variety, if you like Italian food. Today I tried the Italian Chicken Skewers & from the Brruschetta Heaven banner I tried the Burrata, bacon, arugula and tomato. The Prosciutto & Pinenut pesto was excellent with the right amount of salt and attitude! The chicken skewers had a beautiful presentation. The bartender Hailey, that took my order was MIA after she took my order. She spent all her time having a long conversation with the hostess. I cut my visit short because the hostess was so loud and unprofessional! She went on at length about how she and her siblings don't look alike! She even described in detail how she and her sister took a trip to Costa Rica and someone mistook her sister for a girlfriend. Shen then said she showed someone a picture of her co-worker who looked more like a sister than her sibling. Ashley took over from Hailey and did a good job. Unfortunately there was so much damage done by her coworkers there was no way to salvage my experience. The atmosphere would've been wonderful. Had the staff acted professionally? I recommend this restaurant. GN3

There is dim lighting inside and the windows are tinted so it's not super bright. I went around 3 pm so while there was light outside, I still felt like it was later in the day. The service for the restaurant was decent. It seemed the staff was short because it took us a little longer than normal to get seated and throughout our experience, we did not get a ton of interaction from our waiter/waitress. The restroom cleanliness could have been improved since the floor did seem a little dirty to me. When it comes to the food, we got the honey ricotta cheese dip which was an 8.5/10 for me, it was light, creamy, and sweet that got to be paired with toasted bread. They do have a variety of wines to choose from and the $8 glass of house red is definitely a steal for that price. For the mains, I got the margherita pizza and my girlfriend got the Texas filet (medium cooked) with risotto. My pizza was decent but I felt like there was too much chopped garlic on it that sometimes overpowered the other flavors. My girlfriend had some parts in her steak that were rare which she was not a fan of. We did also get the New York cheesecake which kind of was the highlight besides the ricotta cheese dip.

There's ambition in the variety, though not always cohesion. Seafood leans heavily on tilapia, which appears disproportionately across the fish selection. Not inherently negative, but noticeable. We ordered a glass of wine and were told the business was under new ownership and the new owner didn't have his TACB license yet. I mentioned to the waitress (her 1st day) that we could byob. She and another waitress who'd been there for a while both told us that we could not byob. They stated they could be shut down if someone brought their own wine into the establishment. I'm pretty sure that's not correct, but we didn't argue with them. We had the spagetti and meat sauce and lobster stuffed ravioli. Both were okay, but not excellent. Also, he asked for Italian dressing for his salad only to be told they didn't have Italian dressing. How can you call yourself an Italian Restaurant and not have Italian dressing? My Cesar salad was a lettuce and tomato salad with mozzarella cheese. The only thing that separated it from a house salad was the dressing. If we go again, I think we'll maybe try the pizza. There should be no need to write an update. I see that my initial review was written about 5 years ago. This is about how they handle the transferral of totaled tabs to the credit card. When I go to the Houston area, I usually eat lunch at Ivett's twice a week - yes, it's that good. And it's doable because I tend to stay in their "Bay Area," which is south of the city near Space Center Houston and in the suburbs adjacent to large Galveston Bay. Here's what the deal is, and this happened last year and a year or two before that. When I get the bill, it's usually a number that has cents attached to it, thus an "uneven" sort of number. To this, I add a tip. If the final bill were to be $12.72, for example, I might add $2.28 to bring it to an even $15.00. (I've asked restaurant employees over the years if this is weird and they tell me they have customers who do this.) Fast forward to the charge hitting the credit card. In 2025, one charge went through a meaningless few cents higher and one charge went through without the tip altogether. I've never worked in a restaurant, so I don't know how the process works where the final bill is sent over to the credit card company. In this situation, I came out ahead. But that's not the point. I want the employees who were my servers to get their tips and get what I indicated on the copy that I signed. This same exact sort of scenario showed up a year or two before when I also visited twice ... with one lunch charge coming across without the tip. Another lunch charge must have been processed with an even dollar amount as the tip. Again, I came out ahead, if you even want to look at it that way, but I want the employee to get his or her tip. The price-quality-quantity here remains at 5 stars. That's why I have filed Ivett's away in my head. I've now landed on the pattern of lunch specials that I like in any given week - a chicken dish and the manicotti dish, so I come in for those. I did try the lasagna once and, since this is in the U.S. of A. and not fine dining, they use the thicker undulating sheets of pasta that I'm not a fan of. It's to be understood. It's what most Italian-American restaurants do. That dish might come in as a 4. I applaud Ivett's for being a small restaurant that is intent on serving its customers and its community. However, if the tip for that one customer's meal is $2.28, $2.74, or $3.11 because the customer is seeking to hit a "normal" looking final number, then it's $2.28, $2.74, or $3.11. And, if they don't enter the tip at all, then I feel bad because the employee didn't get their tip and it makes me feel cheap ... cheaper than I already am to some people. Fix this little clerical issue by instructing your employees how to do so ... and keep up the good work! I look forward to seeing you all (translation: y'all) the next time I'm in the area.

We hadn't had food from Mama Teresa's in quite some time, but last night I saw a Facebook post from them showcasing their crab claws in spicy marinara. I happen to love crab claws and this post reminded me that Mama Teresa's had some good ones. Tonight's dinner from Mama T's: spicy crab claws and shrimp in marinara and a large pizza with extra cheese, bell peppers, and black olives. We're talking about some excellent eats here. Even our car Rudy approved of the shrimp (de-sauced by his mommy, me) and devoured all the pieces that I allowed him to have. Oh, about that sauce -- it's really good! The spice is bold but there's an underlying depth of flavor that indicates someone takes sauce very seriously indeed. I'm a big fan. While I thought the crab might've been a smidge over cooked (they were still quite tasty), the shrimp were perfection. Orange tabby cats agree! The pizza got a thumbs up from my husband who approved of the quality of the ingredients. That said, he wanted a heavier hand with the toppings and a little more tang in the sauce. I enjoyed it, but both of us wanted more rise in the crust and some char. Ours was a pick up order, but next time we'll dine in. Dan noticed that their draft beer selection was better than most, and the wine choices were okay, too. My take away - visit places that you've unintentionally put on the back burner. You'll probably be very pleasantly surprised. Eat and shop locally!!
