    Smoked salmon pasta
    Abhay V.

Having the smoked salmon pasta dish. The food is excellent and so is their newest waiter Anthony. It's his first day on the job and he is doing great. Highly recommend.

Most amazing, authentic old world food! The desserts were only topped by our visit from Giorgio!! Don't miss this gem

Very fine dining experience. The waitresss are very good. Medium rare lamb chops were perfectly cooked. Also enjoyed the vegetables not bland very good seasoning. The servers keep the drinks coming as well!

We had dinner here during our family trip to Yukon last week and all I can say is that the food was delicious! Our order arrived after an hour, but it was understandable since the restaurant was full during that time. My husband and I ordered Lamb Souvlaki and Tiramisu for sharing. The Lamb Souvlaki was tender and flavorful. And the tiramisu was amazing. Too bad I wasn't able to take a photo of the souvlaki because we were really hungry when our food arrived. The staff were cheerful and the ambiance was great. If we were to visit Yukon again, we'll surely dine again.

LOVED our meal here! We walked in and were immediately surprised by how nice the restaurant is. We didn't dress for the occasion. It is a dramatic change of scenery walking from the outside of the motel into the restaurant. I sadly forget our servers name but she was amazing! Blonde gal who went to a University in Ontario and grew up in this area. I hope that helps to give her a shoutout! She was friendly, helpful with the menu, and an awesome server! We had everything we needed at all times and enjoyed the experience fully. We started with the Venecian cocktail; a coffee-ish liqueur drink which was delicious yet strong. I wanted many more, but was good and only had one. To start, we shared a Ceasar salad. For $8.00, it was on the small side but it was delicious! For entrees, we both had pasta dishes. My husband ordered the Grillato Chicken linguine which he loved. It had great flavor and a vodka type sauce. They gave a large portion of flavorful grilled chicken. I tried the Seafood Fettuccine with Alfredo sauce instead of creamy tomato. It was so amazing! 6 mussels, 4 scallops and 5 shrimp was a hearty portion and worth the price in my opinion. I would order the same thing again and again! Even the focaccia bread served with the pasta was delicious!

Seafood soup in a fishy bowl

Giorgio's is a nice place to eat. It is one of those few restaurants remaining that offers an extensive menu that covers everything from pizza to steak to Souvlaki to pasta, and they are standard, serviceable presentations meant to surprise or offend nobody. My seafood soup was fine. But, nothing in the bowl popped and said "this is why you've paid $11 for me". The lamb osso bucco was cooked perfectly, but was a poorly trimmed cut of shank. One entire side of the bone was fat and it wasn't fat on top of meat. My fat to meat ratio was about 70/30. $28 for lamb osso bucco is not a lot of money, in fact it's a decent price these days for a quality shank. But, that's my issue with Giorgio's. They are charging premium prices for a product that may not always live up to expectations. The place was busy though, so they must be appealing to their crowd of regulars. That, in itself, may deserve a star, but not by me.

A little finger dining in the north. From greater to busperson, everyone is happy and helping. If Madonna is on the bar definitely have a drink and chat with her, she is amazing. Well priced for the type of food. Pasta is their main specialty and they knock it out of the park. I highly recommend the Saganaki as a starter!

Lobster Seafood Cakes: An outside panko breading that was wrapped around a chunky lobster seafood mix.

Overall, a definite fine dining experience in a place you would never expect it! We are vacationing in Whitehorse for the first time (my husband has been here many times for the Yukon Sourdough Rendezvous with the Air Force Band of the Pacific, but this is his first time here for pleasure). I wanted to take hubby out for his birthday, and he already had Giorgio's picked. The food was delicious, and Shirley, our server was wonderful. She even took time out to answer questions about the area, where to get fresh produce, etc. We had the lobster seafood cake (special) as a starter, and it was so yummy. It was made with a panko breading that was stuffed with the seafood mix, rather than the seafood and breading all mixed together and deep fried as many seafood cakes are made. I had the seafood pappardelle, which was delicious, but.... (one reason for my 4 out of 5 stars) ...the pappardelle noodles were thick. They could have used passes on 1-2 more levels down on the pasta rollers. This meant that 'al dente' was more than 'to the tooth'... you had to use your teeth to chew them. The birthday boy had the Seafood Cannoli: prawns, scallops and imitation crab in a pasta shell, baked in tomato cream sauce. The imitation crab was another reason for the downgrade to 4 stars. Whitehorse can get Alaskan salmon, halibut, dungenous crab, king crab, etc. shipped in on a regular basis. There is no reason for a restaurant of this quality to have imitation crab when it is available..... however, they may have chosen to use imitation crab to keep the price reasonable ($28 CAD). Again, a wonderful dining experience, and I'd recommend it to anyone traveling the Alaska Highway!

Food is good. Service is soso, typical Canada. Not much good staff around. The prices went up like crazy and now it is simply too expensive.

Good food, good service. Did a round-trip road trip to Alaska and ate here twice. They have the local beer on tap.

As I searched for a place to eat I searched for a pasta joint in Whitehorse. I came across Tony's and I drive to it. I was confused because it is in a hotel. I walked in and I was greeted with a warm welcome. I sat at the bar and a water was served right away, a warm welcome in such cold conditions. I ordered the balsamic salad (no picture, sorry) and the Bison Rigatoni pasta. OH. MY. GOSH. !. Very juicy, very hot, lots of sauce, very well balanced with the cheese and all. The restaurant is very spacious, the bar area is on the darker side but it could be because it was during the winter and it is normally a bit darker. If you are in Whitehorse and you are looking for a great place to eat Pasta. This place will be it!

Our group was asked to pre-order sandwiches several weeks in advance of our arrival. We were only given a few choice. We ASSUMED this was so they could pre-prepare our sandwiches and serve us quickly. WRONG. The place was largely empty at lunch and we only had one server and one manager that helped occasionally. Service was SO slow that our leaders offered to help bring things out from the kitchen, since they knew who had pre-ordered which sandwiches. While making this offer (and being refused) they went into the kitchen and noticed that the small kitchen staff was making one sandwich at a time. It took forever and the sandwiches were nothing special, just bread, meat and cheese. There are MUCH more interesting places to eat in Whitehorse for lunch. This is a hotel dining room and it looks it. No personality at all.
