Used to be if you wanted to buy liquor and lived on Bend's West Side you had but one choice on this side of town - a teeny tiny (150 square feet shoppable) space partitioned off inside Ray's Market on SW Century Drive. Whenever my husband and I were in the Ray's located liquor store, we tried to get in and out as fast as possible because it felt so claustrophobic. Not to mention that due to its small size, the number of shoppers allowed inside was limited to something like only six at a time. Because the small size meant small stocks, we often drove over to the East Side liquor store if we were looking for something. Seems we weren't the only shoppers to do that as sales were declining at the small West Bend liquor store inside Rays. So the owner was successful in having the store moved. And it is with "yay!" response that we visited the newly relocated West Bend Liquor Store today. Just opened in a strip mall at 155 SW Century Drive, this liquor store now boasts roughly 4000 square feet! That means lots of stock to choose from for spirits and mixers. Although they don't seem to be completely stocked up as yet, they already have a nice selection of brand choices for spirits across price points For mixers they carry some harder to find items like Bitter Lemon and Fee Bros Bitters...and so goes the list. Not to mention that the store has a cool and comfy looking seating area, complete with faux fireplace and bar in which they offer tastings from time to time. If you want to stay posted on what is being offered for tastings on what days, sign up on the store's email list. One thing that remains now as it was then is the super friendly and helpful owner and his staff. They can answer any question you might have and make you feel they are really glad you came in. Now with this great liquor store on the West Side, we'll need to find a way to use more spirits! I'm only waiting on them to stock some of the specialty liquors and aperitifs - like Aperol and Navain and Rompope - for a five star rating. But for now it is a very enthusiastic 4 stars! read more

I'll save you driving around the parking lot across the street; the address is 155 SW Century (not 210 as Yelp says). Yelp may not have appreciated my update, but you'll thank me if you're actually trying to find a drop of liquor!! Nice store with a good selection of beer, wine, and spirits for its relatively small size. They have a cosy seating area with a fireplace. I am a frequent customer at Giorgio's Wine and Spirits and always have had great, friendly service....that is until today, Thursday, Nov. 21, 2019 at around 3:00PM. I selected the items I wanted and went to check out. The male employee had his apple earphones in his ears and didn't say a word to me like how are you doing, etc. He scanned the three items and I gave him my credit card. He gave me the card back and did ask me if I wanted a receipt, Then said "have a good one" and that's it. No "thank you", nothing. I thought Giorgio needed to know how his employee acted. read more

I'm a little nervous about doing a review for a liquor store, what does that say about me? So, that's why I'm giving them 4 stars, I don't want to seem too enthusiastic. Bottom-line is it's a clean, well-stocked liquor store. Prices are what they are based upon State regulations. Nice, knowledgable people working the counter. Always someone to ask when the bottles become a blur and you can't find what you are looking for. Quite a few specialty liquers for that new cocktail recipe you are trying. Plus all the mixers you might need. I just asked my partner if they sell beer and wine at the liquor store? His response, "I'm not sure, but I think so". Obviously we have a different focus. The expensive bottles, or showy gift bottles of liquor are behind the counter. Yours for the asking. Everything else is self-serve. Plenty of parking, very accessible location. read more

I live in the west bend area so this is my usual place I go when I need to buy some liquor. I have always enjoyed the friendly staff, great selection,and it's no hassle getting in and out. Not to mention it's nice having a bigger liquor store in the West Bend area. My last experience has ruined this place for me. And let me start by saying I understand that Oregon does have some laws, rules about who they can sell alcohol to, but what happened at this liquor store just wasn't right. The lady at the cash register I had never seen, she had blondish hair and was in her late 50's I'd say. Before even putting my alcohol on the table she asked to see ID. I always expect to be ID'd, I am only 24 and I do have a young face. I gave her my ID and for whatever reason she decided to start questioning me. I was startled by these questions but I went along with it because obviously I have nothing to hide.She definitely wasn't the friendly staff I had seen in the past. She then asked me if anyone in my car was under 26, I quickly answered no. Then I realized what she asked and being the honest person I am I said that I have someone in my car who was 25. She then lecturing me about how wrong it is to give alcohol to minors & discussed the fines I would be looking at. She was making a scene in front of those inside. This really upset me and I started getting angry because she was accusing me of something I wasn't doing. I told her he was 25 and that he left his ID at home. She wasn't going to sell to me now since I couldn't prove his age. So I said I'd be right back with his ID because we live near by. She's like "well we are almost closed...we close at 6." Giving me a look like sorry you're not getting anything. I quickly looked at my phone I had a half hr. I said "O I have a half hr. Thats enough time, I will be right back I live 5 minutes away." She then said she was going to put the alcohol away I told her "You can leave it here because I will be back in 10 mins. That way I can prove he is 25!" By this time I was pretty pissed, what really angered me was the fact that she was accusing me of something I wasn't doing. I went home he got his ID, we came right back. The second I came in the door she just kept apologizing over and over. Obviously she was surprised I wasn't lying. I don't think she anticipated I would be back. I do understand there are laws, and rules and I understand that there are big fines for them as well as me if I help a minor get alcohol. But this lady could have handled things differently. I know you can refuse service to anyone you desire to, but are you allowed to question me about who is in my car? Refuse to sell it to me because someone in my car didn't come in, and provide ID at the cash register? There was nothing I did that was out of the ordinary so I am not sure why I was targeted. All I know is it seems to me she was on a power trip. I've never had an experience like this and I definitely don't feel welcome coming back. Whoever this new lady is who works there she needs to go. She cost you guys a customer. I can go to plenty of other liquor stores in the area who aren't going to interrogate me and accuse me of something I am not doing. read more

If I could give this zero stars I would. The first time i came here was because it was close, and I didn't have a bad time until the cashier had to make a stupid joke about me being black. I assumed it would be the only time I would go there because of that, but the second time I came here they closed the doors to the store while it was still business hours. I will never come here again. Only thing I wish for this place is that it closes down or is under new ownership. read more

My experience at the west Bend Liqour store started out really good. I was helped by an extrememly sweet and knowledgable young lady who helped me pick a good tequila to make mass quantity margaritas for an event I was hosting in Redmond that evening. After I left the store, I drove to Redmond, got out of my car and BOOM the bag that she had placed my bottle of mixer and tequila in broke, sending the contents crashing onto the pavement. I called her back and told her what happened. She remembered me and graciously said that if I bring the reciept back they would refund my money for the lost product. I asked her if I needed to bring in the broken bottles. She said if it was too messy I didnt need to, she remembered me so just bring in the reciept. Since I was in Redmond and the event was about to start I ran to the Redmond Liqour store, purchased a new bottle of liqour and mix, then had a successful event. The next morning when I returned to the West Bend Liqour store to get my refund, I was again greeted by the nice woman who had helped me the previous day. She started gathering the items that I needed refunded and was very pleasant. All of a sudden a short, and very abrupt older man interjected himself into our conversation. He said his name was Georgio and that he was the owner. He asked what had happened and I told him the story. He immediatly got defensive and asked where the broken bottles were. I told him that they were in a dumpster in Redmond. The employee then explained that she had told me if they were too messy and dangerous to bring in it was fine to just stop by with my reciept. He immediately started questioning whether or not the bottles broke. He said he must have the bottles before issuing a refund otherwise he would have to pay the oregon liqour commission for the loss. I again told him they were in a dumpster in Redmond because I was told by his employee that I didnt have to have them to get a refund since it was their bag that defaulted and broke. I had driven all the way back because his employee told me it was ok. Instead of backing his employee and using this as a training opportunity while taking care of the customer, he refused my refund and treated his employee like she was stupid. He said I would need to prove that the bottles broke. I was furious. I drove back to Redmond that afternoon, dug the broken bottle out of the dumpster, and took it back to the liqour store. I was finally given a refund. I will never go back to a store where the owner treats his employees like dirt, and treats his patrons just as bad. There are plenty of other places to buy liqour in Bend. read more

So disappointed in this store. The selection is not that great, they don't even have basics like Taaka. Not to mention the multiple times I've showed up and they were closed before even their posted hours. If your going to post hours stay open. I'd take the extra time and go to Eastside liquor. They are always so helpful and friendly. I'd rather give them the business. read more
