It was just after new years and these guys were almost the only Sushi restaurant open in the city during the holidays. So I was thrilled. The location is just off Main Street, and is pretty small. Not sure I'd want to come here to sit down and eat, but we were ordering to go anyways, so no problem. The lady who helped us was very pleasant. We ordered dynamite rolls, yam rolls, rainbow rolls and salmon nigiri. Everything was delicious! It is definitely a close second for my favourite sushi in Penticton. I will be back!

The potatoes cutlets were nicely done, the panko coating was so light & crunchy, so were all the pork cutlets that comes with the meal. Even though they were deep dried, it wasn't oily & the panko coating was so good. Service was good & decor was clean & rustic - nicely done!

The food was pretty good, and the futomaki ended up being the thing my aunt and me both went for the most. My aunt has never had sushi before, and she really liked it. I can't really think of anything bad to say about anything about it other than the wasabi our order came with seemed to be a bit heavy on horseradish filler and so was a bit harsh on the palate (I bought a tube I saw near the front of the restaurant they had for sale of prepared wasabi which had a much better balance & used it instead), and while the wait time for the order for pickup was a bit long (about 55 minutes), it was actually pretty understandable since there was almost a steady stream of other people popping in & out to grab the pickup orders they placed earlier, so the kitchen must have been pretty busy already by the time we got there. I'm already planning out the stuff I want to order/try next if I have the time this summer to order from here again, so I'd definitely recommend this place.

So of course we had to check it out! The location is stellar, right overlooking the beachfront. Can't beat that. The hostess and our server were lovely and attentive. We got a table on the lower patio, overlooking the waterfront. Fabulous! We were impressed by the diversity of dishes on the menu. I think you'd be hard-pressed not to find something to your liking here, whatever your culinary preferences or restrictions. My kid ordered a maple-glazed salmon dish with mashed potatoes and asparagus (which she devoured and loved!). I ordered the calamari and tempura vegetables which came with the most unique aoili sauce made with passionfruit. It sounds really odd, and it sounds like it shouldn't work - but boy, does it ever! What a fabulous taste to this sauce! And the calamari was wonderful and perfectly seasoned and fried. And I've never had tempura strips of red pepper but they were fantastic! Truly wonderful calamari dish. We were too full for dessert. Alas! This restaurant lived up to its hype for us! Great place!
